Great AU btw!! Part of me thinks this should have happened; Niju didn't deserve death as much as Steele did imo (Steele being more a more well-developed and dangerous character) but he still did some messed up things (was willing to murder two outsiders who had intended no harm to him/the pack, threatened to kill his "friends" of they didn't obey him, disobeyed his leader multiple times, turned half of his clan against his leader, attacked his leader multiple times with the intent to kill, attacked the outsiders again, etc.).
