    I want to eventually send you guys a longer, happier hello message and was going to wait. I found your channel a few weeks ago while waiting for my own green tractor to arrive and enjoyed it so much I've gone back to the start and been working my way through (if you're wondering about the random likes one after the other at 2am in the morning) but knowing this happened in advance I've been dreading this video. I'm in Australia and the bushfires last year came within half a mile of our place. So those feelings your feeling here i kinda get them and they're bringing tears to my eyes and i haven't made it past the intro. I'm glad things were ok. I'm glad things worked out.
    I will send a happier note later with a proper hello. But for now know you guys are amazing and incredibly strong and I love your channel.

      Wow Dave, thank you so much for the kind words and channel support! It means more than you know to have viewers such as yourself supporting us. I am happy to hear that you survived the brush fires ok, we got them bad here when I was a kid and I won't forget it. Out in the western United States they've been fighting fires for months it feels like. As for the tornado that got us, life usually has a funny way of working things out. I'll have huge announcements soon and explain that part. We are just thankful and blessed to have made it through the situation safe and will be better prepared next time. Again thank you for your support and I have a lot more videos coming. Enjoy your tractor when you get it!

      @@davegamble3309 I know the feeling waiting for something like that, what model did you get?

    • @davegamble3309
      @davegamble3309 4 роки тому

      @@TKCL 4049M open station with a 4in1 loader, pallet forks and a box blade to start with. From what I can gather it's the international model. Replacing the 44 and 52. (We have the 66 here as well).
      I've got 21 acres, been here for four years and a very very long list for when the tractor does arrive. Currently just starting a project building 100 feet of sheds to store everything in.

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  4 роки тому +1

      I've never heard of that model, but I know they are different outside of the US. If it's anything like my father's 4052, you'll love it. A very powerful and capable tractor. Have fun breaking it in, you'll be amazed at how much you can get done with it.

    Holy shit brother..... 😱 when I gave you a few tips on bleaching your truck steering wheel and gear shifter against the coronavirus last week from here in Ireland, little did we know you'd be faced with a much more serious and immediate danger like this. I'm really sorry about what's happened to you and am so so delighted that you're all still unharmed and safe. I can already tell from your videos that you won't be long about fixing your stuff back up quickly - us country boys, wherever we are, are strong & resilient 💪🏽 if I was in your neighbourhood I'd be right there to lend a hand - that's how it's gotta be in our lifestyle. Good luck brother. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger........

      Oh and......... there may be no legal comeback on the pole barn builder in your area but.... those concrete anchors are only about 10 inches in places so...... there may be a little satisfaction in punching his jaw! 😎 those lumps of concrete across your field were catapulted across the place - unreal. I'd be loosening a few teeth inside the mouth of the boy who you laid to do that!

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  4 роки тому +1

      While that would be satisfying, I doubt I'll ever see the guy who built this. He doesn't live in this area. Life goes on, now I know exactly what NOT to do next time. I can assure you that our next barn will be anchored and reinforced much better. Thanks for the support!

    So today I stumbled on your channel with the ice maker build. After looking around your channel, I found this video. It broke my heart. I know it has been over a year since the tornado, so I hope things are all back to where they were. I will get caught up by watching more videos. I just want to say this: I have been asking God to put Christians in my life, in every aspect of my life. Today He did just that as He always provides encouragement and shows me His love that He has for myself and my family. I am a chaplain here in Michigan, and I will continue to pray for you all and your family. I look forward to getting to know you more through your channel. Follow God, and may God bless you all.

Now I see the motivation for building that bulletproof storm shelter. You summed it up well, things can be replaced, but I know it had to be an experience that changed the both of you. Wow man I'm so sorry this happened to you. I know this happened 6 months ago but it is heart touching. Thank God that you and your wife are still here. To hear you was in that trailer when that tornado hit you.you are blessed. I've never been in a tornado before but I was very close to 1 in Florida on 95 Southbound in my brand new 2005 truck. F3 tornado was a 1/8 mile to the right of my truck lifted the truck and the 53ft trailer on 5 wheels. Got a tornado warning on the radio about a tornado and 5 minutes later I found it. I'll hold supplies for Red Cross and FEMA I do believe I've delivered supplies to Florida for the same storm that hit your house early this year. I'm hauling Supplies right now for the hurricane victims in Pensacola Florida and Lake Charles Louisiana right now. Again I'm so sorry to hear this happened to you man. Like you said property can be replaced but a life can't. God bless you and your wife.

      Wow that sounds like a scary experience that you had yourself. We feel truly blessed and thank God that we made it through it okay. The barn has already been replaced, we've already got a different camper and the majority of my tractor equipment has been repaired. It's something we will never forget, and why you'll see me finishing building a storm shelter here on the channel. Take care and God bless, you truckers don't get enough credit for the things y'all deliver for us.

    • @mackjenkins7721
      @mackjenkins7721 4 роки тому

      @@TKCL yes indeed it was a scary feeling. You and your wife are truly blessed and I'm glad to hear that everything is getting back to normal. Thank you Kelley I really do appreciate it means a lot. Being a truck driver sometimes is not easy. A little thank you to a truck driver means a lot. A man in Lake Charles Louisiana thanks me every time I make a delivery there. This man lost everything in the hurricane , his house , his car , his wallet , no shirt or shoes , only thing he had was a pair of shorts. He asked for a bottle of water and I end up giving him a case of water, a brand new pair of our favorite shoes " flip flops " that I had left from a delivery. And he thanked me so much. It meant a lot. Again thank you man I really appreciate that. You are right us truck drivers don't get enough credit for what we deliver even through the pandemic.

    I’m very sorry for your loss, you are extremely blessed. It seems God test the best among us. Truly you are blessed with family and friends.
    I own several pole barns, i highly recommend walls, without walls the roof system acts like a wing and wants to fly. They also have better options like concrete foundations for pole barns some are precast.
    I hope my jd tractor and garden are safe. Stay strong. 😊

You're so lucky that trailer is not a pile of tooth picks spread all over the place. I'm amazed, someone was definitely looking out for you that day, and time.

      Tornados are for sure strange. About one mile from here you can see the path it took with trees snapped over. It then lifted, I guess touched back down on our property and lifted again. The damage is in spurts.

    I have watched a # of your videos mostly about the ice maker because it has practically gone viral however I just came across this one it's incredible I can't believe you don't have it in a playlist and even the title you call it this damage its destruction now I know why you built that storm shelter you really should put this at the top of your playlist also one thing I've wondered about is how you basically make money off the land you have that huge field what do you grow on it you guys are lucky to be alive good luck God bless

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  3 роки тому

      Valid point, I just added it to the playlist. It's the reason we built the shelter. As for making money off of the land, nothing pays us right now. We do have merchantable timber that could be cut for profit, as well as we planted pines trees that will be worth money in a few years. We plan to slowly develop this property into a homestead and have it pay us back in the forms of animals/meat, garden vegetables and of course UA-cam content to share with viewers. I also make a small amount of money off of firewood as well. Thanks for watching!

      That's the problem, I paid someone to install this barn and the posts were not buried deep enough and minimal concrete around them. I now build the majority of stuff myself and overdo it. My new one has posts 4ft deep, and hundreds of pounds of concrete around each posts with Rebar stakes.

    Not one tree in your yard was down or even branches broken. The storm just dropped out of the sky and landed on your barn, then out of thin air lifted and moved on.? This video seems suspect. It had enough force to toss a cinder block on your boat engine but not move or flip the boat. That's raised up off the ground on the trailer it should have moved, not even tire marks on the ground that show the trailer moved or slid. Even the small rocks near the boat on the left are undisturbed. Iv lived through many tornado and they basically sand blast the ground. Even small dirt mounds get worn down. Hope you got all that money from the insurance....lol

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  9 місяців тому

      I'm not out to screw anyone over or lie. And yes tornados do drop, raise and drop again all the time. This tornado had an 8 mile path verified by the national weather service and was rated at 90 mph. That's not going to cause the destruction your constantly seeing on TV by the monster Midwest storms.
