Love the biild, almost exactly what i was running on my sorc, except with Gaze of Sithis instead of Chudan/Death Dealer...but DDF/Chudan us definitely a better option. One nitpick and something ive been suggesting to every PvP content creator....please for goodness start showing your stats under battle spirit. I understand the numbers are cut in half and it doesnt look as impressive, but its giving a more faithful representation of what the build is capable of. I constantly see people commenting on videos "why isnt this stat like this" "why arent my stats matching the video"...lol.....just a simple suggestion....great build 😂
Thanks man! This is a really solid setup and has just a plethora of stats letting you do what you like on it. I get what you mean about the shield - in PvP you just half the value which I do mention. I often show it in PvE land as such because it is easier to record there plus it's what people usually see on their skills when building it.
Literally wanted to say that same thing. I suppose the issue is, if your faction has all the scrolls and keeps, it will inflate. Unsure how things work in IC
Dan, I love your videos, have watched them for a long time. I’ve also change Mag & Health point by point before. The optimal health vs mag changes from inside Cyrodiil to outside. It’s not quiet as simple as shield are cut in half, the health/mag scaling is different. Do that same inside Cyrodiil and you’ll get different numbers.
Battle spirit doesn't give stats anymore and hasn't for a long time. It does reduce healing and shield size however - when you go in there your raw stats don't change unless scroll buffs.
@@Unified-Gaming bro im running with almost 70k magicka and i dont hit the 72% of my max hp on shieldsize in cyrodiil... and its 16.8k big before ddf. u dont have to put in these points into hp. in cyro ull just have less shieldsize and less dmg. just check ur shieldsize in cyroo now, then use atro munuds und put some points into mag and test it again in cyro. u wont reach the cap unless u run some 20k hp build or whatever.
We use it for the reduce damage passive only - most pvp builds do this. You could use mistform instead of streak but I wouldn't personally. Beyond that, there isn't any good ones in there beyond the spamable but that forces you into melee range. The drain is very niche on specific setups.
Save your armory slot with no attributes set so you can just reload it when you want to adjust them for testing like this. Also inner light gives you 7% max mag and 2% mag recovery (mages guild magika controller passive)if you are rank 9 or 10 in mage's guild (less in lower ranks from passive). Slotting meteor on front bar will give you another 2% max mag and mag recovery as well
Imo I run crafty wretched or crafty anchient grace with chudan and deathdeeler. I'd dump all my points into mag run sugar skulls run sharpened lighting staff with ele sup on back bar front bar ulti use dawny back bar overload or Ice comet.
The setups you list are covered beyond ancient grace as it isn't worth stacking mag that high imo. Sharpened is nice but if you use a charged absorb stam glyph you get minor breach so 3k pen there too PLUS the bonus status damage.

Built this out last night. Only difference is I’m using sea serpent coil mythic and my gear is purple. Definitely great so far! I’ve been pvping with my vamp arcanist(love it too) but man the teleporting sorcs on the AD grey host team gave me nightmares last night so I had to find a build hahaha. What is this dark sorcery?!? 😅
Hahaha yeah it is nutty man! If you can get death dealers it is even better than coil to be honest as it buffs your shields, health and damage. The stamina also can be turned into magicka helping sustain.

I have tried that and found if you are really being preasured that HoT is really nice. The damage is fine - I'm critting 11k frags on people so that with an overload and crushing shock is doing 17--22k instant burst. P.s. Good to see you man!
I agree that’s how I run it I’d rarther use the stam for conversion, definitely helps when you realy pressured to have vigor but most of the time you can streak away from pressure and reset. Can’t have a mag sorc without curse that should be illegal haha

There's gameplay on the channel. You can use a absorb stam glyph to get minor breach always on front bar and susceptibility or elemental drain for major breach. That's 9k instantly. Can swap vigor for curse if need more damage.

You're best using gaze of sithis mythic, 1x domihaus/swarm mother, heartland conquerer (sharpened front bar and defending back bar), crafty alfique x5 Or go max magicka and use ancient grace x3 + crafty x5 + 1 domihause + 1 swarm mother/gaze of sithis + 2 trainee/willpower
Crushing shock and crushing weapon isn't it Imo. The other morph elemental weapon takes the win. Charged got nerfed and the status chance is pretty low. Ele weapon allows you to have a guaranteed status proc every single cast whilst still running sharpened and it also procs overcharge as its magic damage. cast ele sus on a dummy then proceed to test charged crushing and sharpened ele weapon and you'll see what i mean. Also in the video you didn't mention that the heavy weapons expert CP not only buffs your light attacks but also your overload. its a huge increase in burst, don't take it off. ele weapon also infuses light attack so that cp alone is 20% to your light attack, spammable and overload at once. Also I advise testing the build without vigor, thats where the haunting curse goes ;) .(you already have minor resolve from bound armor) The shields, dark convert and crit surge alone are enough this patch imo, its wild. Definitely the Malcom build on this one
Elemental susceptibility provides the status effects every 7.5s and they last 3s. This does help but the reason I use charged is that when the status procs it does damage so you end up getting 2-3 extra sources of damage doing 500-800 on a target adding an extra 1-2k on your spamable. That's why I use it. I did test elemental weapon and found it was a good skill but the animation is awkward. The status proc is nice for sure if you spam it and can help alot, allowing sharpened as a trait. The overload is buffed by the cp which I assumed people would note but I could have explained that better so good point. The elemetal weapon doesn't get buffed by the light attack cp though but only the direct damage as it is a separate source of damage. I have found shields + dark converge work well but personally I prefer vigor for that more passive heal - I think it is personal preference. I found dropping inner light works well for curse space but you lose some crit chance and mag. I think with the sets and so on, they're spot on and the skill usage will vary somewhat from player to player and content i.e. battlegrounds you may use the execute to steal kills.

I used drain for the more constant mag sustain as we get the status procs easily with our charged staff. The healing you get from the susceptibility procs are not consistent at all and hardly noticeable at best.

Completely false information. In terms of how much HP is needed for the sheild. You need to be inside PvP to even begin testing it. I've done the testing myself. it's around 24k/25k HP, and the rest into magicka. Especially in update 41 when you can have stupid amounts of max mag. 72% of 25k is 18000. You can achieve that in update 41 in PvP. Just a heads up to the creator and anyone wanting true information.
The point which I didn't clearly make is that this is the sweet spot for newer players. If you want to push shields then go for max magicka but you leave yourself more vulnerable to being ganked as you have less health for them to work through unless you maintain your shields well. Good spot and I did note this in the description and my discord but not on the video itself.

@runkorko no worries and yeah Crushing can be annoying but due to ZOS logic, once interrupted you can recast without being interrupted. Really hate that bug when fighting stam sorcs.

Man, you need to add timestamps. I wanna see the 2 bars and the gear sets, that's it, all the rest is fluff and I need to skip through 20 minutes missing stuff.
I've not had issues with the build myself and if you do then it may reflect yourself. Look at the amount of damage - our tool tips are insane, we have pressure from status effect changes and our shields are nuts! Running max magicka doesn't increase your shield size without a good hp pool so do not neglect that.

I do that but put all passives in and have a load out saved. Makes for quick changes of builds.

I didn't catch the Enchantment on the Back bar Ice Staff of Wretched Vitality? Saw Absorb Magicka on the front bar.

Did you not test the shield in PvP zone? Shields are halved in PvP so the math will be different.

Is the build editor on UESP scaling correctly? I think I might need more Mag (39k vs 29k health) - getting a 4k+ shield (BS Active) :/
Build editor doesn't scale properly. I had like a 4k tool tip on it but in game it was 12k in cyrodiil.

Wretched weapon back bar so you get 2 pieces there + 3 body = 5. This means you can turn on wretched back bar then swap to front and buff still active

With this build in open world 1vX you will go out of mag AND stam for no time.
I've not had any issues as you streak and reset using dark conversion. With potions you're over 2k+ regens anyway - that is ample.

Nah. If it wasn’t for Undeath vampires wouldn’t be used by anyone. The skill line has been gutted over the years except for that sweet passive.
