To a point. Privateer guys do more work on the bike. Factory guys kind of just tell the mechanics how they want the bike set up. There’s a lot of videos of factory mechanics going over their riders bike talking about the preferences of different riders on the team. I don’t think most factory guys can tighten a chain lol
............the old timers that I would race my KTM 250 SX against; Always wanted to know how I would HOLESHOT them every time on their BLINGED OUT 450 lawn mowers?!?! Would never believe me when I simply told them that I used 3rd gear to start. I think that they ATE TOO MUCH & thought that the time/space WASTED on the 2-3 up shift was FREE???

Stankdog is bringing the transworld snowboard lifestyle to moto. Hes going to be huge. Many families dont want to race or dont really dig race culture. But dudes like Stank, Axel, Buttery, do a great job of making dirtbikes fun and cool. Moto isnt F1 racing, its x-games.
@@bunnyman6321 Well, racing is a lot more than riding a dirt bike. It's most of your summer weekends spent driving hours across the state, with trailers, motor homes, all the supplies. It's being jammed up in the camp/pits with people on top of you, bikes constantly revving, assholes running their generators all day and all night. It's spending Thurs and Friday nights getting everything loaded up, dumping $300 in the gas tank only to have a mechanical failure or crash during Fri PM or Sat Am practice. It's super stressful because everything is chaotic and on a pretty fast paced time schedule that runs from Thurs night all the way thru Monday morning. There is also that part where a lot of kids and parents stress out and become miserable sacrificing so much time, money, and peace of mind to never win or even come close. It's being a middle or lower middle class dad who works overtime all winter to have fun with his family at the races only to have rich assholes out spend him to win and then rub his nose in it. I'm definitely focusing on the dark side of racing here, for sure. If you are like me and are the type of person that have a blast coming in last and can get past the occasional borderline child abuse behavior of some mini parents then, its really a good time and a great family bonding experience. But, we race maybe 8 weekends a summer. There is no chance of us ever winning anything for our investment.

its like he doesnt listen to what anyone says and just does what feels good or works for him. i think a lot of riders let their team/mechanic take the reigns and end up with a bike that isn't what they want
Stank is the man like to see a video on the science of the hole shot device why dose it or how dose make the bike dig more? I'm so old school we never had one
When I started riding KTM s in 1990 people looked at me like I was idiot for riding those things. Now KTM owns the market. When four strokes came to town everybody looks stank dog like he’s an idiot for riding a two stroke in afour stroke motocross series. but because of four strokes the average person can’t afford to rebuild them and as reality sets in the two strokes are starting to not look so stupid to the average consumer after all.
go buy some merch he just got engaged

Stank Dog is the most honest, straight talking man in the sport. A true gentleman. He sets a good example to the kids 😊
Gotta love AND respect Stank Dog for what he does for our sport. A free spirit with a HUGE passion for dirt bikes, AND doing it his way!!
He is super talented! Just imagine how good he could be if he practiced a little discipline. 🤪
Love Stank Dog!!! Coming from someone who rode in the 70's, he's an old school OG!!! Great interview, Hopper!!!!
Im a 2 strokes forever rider so I always love this guy and love his style too.
Thank you for saving my ears this time 🥸
This guy is amazing ! To stay with the 2stroke 125s . Plus how freaking fast he is on those things ..He is the shisnit 🤘
Wouldn't a privateer guy typically know better than a factory guy what front sprocket came on his bike?

Why many families don't wanna race or don't dig race culture?

Yeah its a shame
Crypto is a subject. It has utility. Kinda like an email has utility.
With that being said. What does it not have? Even Jim Cramer knows.
