This helps me feel like I’m not the only one agonizing and obsessing over my planners for the new year!! And what you said about where you use the planner is huge!
i love hearing folks talk about how they will/may plan for the new year. So never stop! My lineup of planners will include a work planner (Sterling ink A5), an art journal (Sterling ink B6 daily) and then I'm trying out something new with a B5 (again Sterling Ink). I'd like to create a 'statistics journal' that really tracks all kinds of things. Imagine a whole B5 filled with daily stats, logs, trackers and metadata. Then I will use the notes pages to create charts and graphs that talk about those stats. When the year is done I want it to look like a math nerd exploded all over my planner (which, I did!). And I suspect I would run out of characters if I talked about my journals. So I shall stop. Great video~
I would love to see you decorating that decorated planner on the regular just as a creative journaling space 😊. It is beautiful 😊the beautiful brown one
As I was listening to you process your 2025 line up I thought to myself, “this girl gets it” I only have one friend that understands my love, delight and frankly obsession with planning, paper and pens. Normal people look at me wax on and on and look at me like “huh?”… you get me!❤ Oh, and I like you being all over the place. Go for it!
Great video Elizabeth! When I was a HP girly I’d always pop Mini or Skinny Mini pages into my Classic for the peekaboo effect - looong before I discovered Laurel Denise. It works great & will achieve the optics you’re needing in a more portable planner. (2) I erroneously & unfairly tend to blame my fitness/wellness planner for the challenges &/or lack of consistency I have in my journey. Truth is - it’s never been the planner. It’s always been me & my personal struggles in this area of my life. (3) I’m glad you’re making a concerted effort to reframe “social media” as your job. (4) Making a list of the what & how I need my planner(s) to serve me is something I’ve always done. Your tip to think about WHERE the planner gets used is great! I needed to remove 2 areas of my life from my beloved LD planner for this reason. Anyhoooo…. Thanks for always showing up authentic & vulnerable for all of us. Blessings to you and those you hold close this holiday season! 💜
I like to keep an ”anchor” book so I can hop around all I want! It’s my five year and then a Travelers Company monthly insert. So right now I’m in a wide TN with a narrow monthly and weekly, then a wide journal!
I got second-hand decision paralysis from this one. You have so many beautiful choices! I wish you luck and am probably too invested in finding out which you choose.😂
I'm new to your channel as of about a month ago, and man this speaks to me 😅 I've been bullet journaling for my every day planner and now that I have 2 kids under 3, not sure I can keep up with it! I was starting to dabble in digital planning on my iPad, but it just isn't the same as paper and pen... Thank you for your honesty and openness, the struggle is real!!! God bless you! Looking forward to seeing what route you take.
I only have one catch all at home which is a JA mini so it’s portable, one work planner which will be Erin condren next year and a creative journal. Hopefully a reading journal next year too. TFS your thought process
I am right there with you. I have options and I need to spend some time thinking through what I have and what I need. It has been helpful watching you go over your options and needs and talking over how to match them up.
Very helpful! So happy to have found your channel! Love the content. Your style of talking through and thinking out loud is so real and comfortable to me. Thank you! I am, as of now, using a SI B6 half year, I think that's what it is. In December so far I am loving the daily journal pages and decorating the monthly and weekly pages.
Thank you! So glad you found me too! I loooooove the idea of the half year - it’s light weight and only marries you to 6 months so you can start fresh in something new if you want to 6 months in!!
I wish HP would make a 1/2 sheet sized dashboard style customizable or even a mini and im addicted to Jane’s agenda. My on the goes are my N1 sized (standard TN) and a weeks size as EDC and to bring to the doctor
I hear and feel you on the HP Frankenplanner system. I was super excited about it. But it was so overwhelming. I want just switched from a classic to a big, this was before i found you and A&O lol. I did sub to the monthly kit for A&O for my Christmas gift to myself. I like the mini weeklies inside the monthly view and I have a creative journal for my mindfulness stuff.
Wow, you have a good amount to choose from . Great group of functionality yet some potential to be creative but when will you have time to touch all these planners is my question? I hope that you’re able to figure out your stack for 2025 thanks for sharing your thoughts and good luck. ❤😅 I’m still working on mine….
I have a hard bound Hemlock & Oak Daily that I already have for memory planning and I’ve made an “executive decision” to not let dates confine me… especially for journaling or memory keeping! I am capable of redating
Thank you so much for this video. I was definitely in need of this. I’m really struggling this year to choose what planner will be for me. It’s so scary watching the stores sell out and I still haven’t made a decision 😭🤣
You are not alone haha! I don’t know why the planner decision process is always a challenge, but hopefully at the end of the day we’ll find something that meets are needs! And if not, we can always change it!
Thank you for sharing, maybe once you start putting them together and eliminating some I hope you get planner peace knowing if something isn't working you can change. This time around I am using 9 happy planners that I Frankin Plan into 5 and I am starting a dot grid journal for my daily intentions. I feel excited and anxious to start the dot grid journal that one is new for me.
Gosh I hope so! And what you’re doing with frankenplanning will be so organized! That was my strategy for years and hope it works for you! And yay for the journal journey - don’t like the nerves prevent you for diving in! You’ll find your rhythm and hopefully enjoy the creative process as well!!
Helpful video. For 2025, I’m using a PaperTess Designs A5 for catch all which includes work. For scripture, journaling, prayers I’m using Lauren Phelps. Going to attempt to track health and reading in my catch all. I also have an EC pocket planner for my purse. I use Planner Perfect for morning pages. I’m a former disc user too. May go back someday, but like you, felt unsettled all the time with how easy it was to customize.
I'm the opposite in figuring out what I really what. I look at what I don't need. And which layout is going to be the easiest use on a daily basis. Cause I only use one for each thing for the whole year of whatever that planner is used for. And I'm on a limited budget. So must not expensive. I got a big checklist for my scripture planner. I was able to use it to as a scripture reference book for myself. But found that there were a lot of the sections I didn't use. So the intent was fulfilled. But still left me feelig there was a lot of wasted space. I got a big dashboard. Which I liked. But didn't really feel like wanting to decorate was as strong because of the size compared to the smaller classic the year before I loved. I'm also particular, because I have seizures, of which designs of covers and dashboards I use. That they aren't going to bother my head. A lot have stuff I don't need like trackers and to do boxes. I don't like the vertical or daily layout at all. Not going to do the checklist monthly again. So the don'ts list is huge. Took forever. I, after two years of looking, I am finally happily going to get exactly what I want in the new undated plans and dreams dashboard planner from the new release for my scripture planner. One of customizeable dashboard from the build your planner release. A regular calendar planner for appointents and serious stuff to right on the calendar to remember with a place for my daily gratitude. And one for what I term my all of this planner for everything else all between stuff. Which I made from inserts I designed on my own on canva for books, budgets, movies, etc. And various covers and dashboards I collected over the year. Cause I was worried I wouldn't find anything I liked. Cause I'm so particular. So I'm happy after two years of trying to have found a planner I want, that hopefully makes me the happiest. I wish you lots of luck, prayers, and peace trying to figure out yours for the year as well. If worse comes to worse say a prayer and go with what the spirit tells you for clarity and help. God bless.
I have purchased way too many but I’m also trying out Twines and paper and Just Scribble as my Weeks size and A6, respectively and I love the A& O for stay at home.
Stupid Happy Planner with that winter release! Messed up some of my lineup! lol But anyway, I am so nervous but excited that I am upping the ante by going from the classic dashboard I tried for the first time this year to going to a BIG dashboard!
@jashiicorin (hopefully got spelling right!) - she’s been with archer and olive and the bullet journal community for years so her video catalogue is expansive!!
This helps me feel like I’m not the only one agonizing and obsessing over my planners for the new year!! And what you said about where you use the planner is huge!
Girl it’s a journey for so many of us 😂 and yes!! thinking of the WHERE has totally changed how I choose my planners!
Absolutely, I tend to keep hard bound/ disc bound at home and a weeks and Standard TN with me at all times
I have popped in a skinny classic paper or skinny mini paper at times but never thought of the weekly’s between the monthly’s

Thank you for sharing, Sharon!! And agreed on #2, the planner has nothing to do with the health journey itself!

I ended up with the Bella Grace all-in-one planner this year and think it'll finally do the job.

Great idea to do mini weeklies inside the monthly view. Made me think of something I want to try.
Yay! play with it!!
Super helpful!! Got me excited to continue finalizing my own lineup. Also, you asked some great questions that I’m going to be asking myself too!

I am using my Archer and Olive B5 as a memory planner with small photos and stories of what happens with me and my family everyday.
I wish HP would make a 1/2 sheet sized dashboard style customizable or even a mini and im addicted to Jane’s agenda. My on the goes are my N1 sized (standard TN) and a weeks size as EDC and to bring to the doctor

I am undecided as if yet. I have a few I am trying. It is hard. Thank you!

I keep hearing about PaperTess, I’ll have to check it out! And I’ve been loving my Laurel Phelps TN the last few months. We have a similar taste!

That’s amaaaaaaazingggg!!!
I want to make a reading journal but I’m so scared to mess up one of my nice notebooks. I’m running out of time to get that going though. 😂
I am potentially using 10 planners 🤷♀️ most are happy planner but some are kellofaplan planners added in.
I'm still confused, but not by you! Big brain idea on the skinny classic in the big.
Haha!😂
