@@maysonfrank8862 hey bro, just wanted to let you know that you're on the right path. i'm 16 and i started playing basketball when i was 15, and i'm undersized both weight and height wise, and i wish i started when i was your age. just letting you know to keep going, stay consistent, and don't stop working and i promise it'll pay off in the long run. stay blessed.
Your such an inspiration man. I never played basketball my whole life since everyone doubted me when I would try to start. I ended up quitting every time, but recently I have picked it back up and am promising myself to keep going. It is difficult since I’m already a freshman in hs, but I know if I keep playing I can do well. Keep up the good work! 😊
Aye bro look basketball is my dream I’m finally picking it up my sophomore year but now I’m worried that I won’t be any good and won’t get any offers but I’m going to keep putting in the work even though I only got a few years left
Lifting can also improve your jumpshot. It increases your strength and helps you extend your range. Edit: Do not rush your training. Take your time and work hard!
But stay hooping when you lift cuz after a large gain you will have to learn how to shoot from every spot again since your range is increasing you won’t shoot like you used to you may be able to do better after lifting but control is what you have to learn at that point
bro, fr... i love everything about your videos. the style, the edits, how clean it is, its just so nice. keep it up, your one of my biggest inspirations man 🔥🔥
I rarely get to get shots up, most of the time I play basketball at school and can barely practice my shots because the gym is packed with students. I just play pickup with my friends but I'm not that good at the sport and get frustrated when I miss a shot. I know I'm just now seeing this video but I'll try to use this workout to get better.
guys practice is the craziest underrated "hack" or "trick" to be a better shooter. Nothing comes easily if you want it to be so achieving. Just practice.
Great vid! I’d also recommend if your shooting off the dribble, put more pressure on your front foot. And if you are in a catch and shoot position, just put more pressure on your back foot before you jump into your jumpshot. Also try shooting off one foot by lifting your other foot up in the air. Let me know if this works for anybody.
Spin the Ball to yourself/ bounce to yourself, anything that is similar enough to simulate a pass It doesn’t have to be perfect, passes in games aren’t either tbf
Keep your chin up, mistakes happen even to the greatest so no reason to beat yourself up for them. There are tons of techniques you could use as well, pre-game rituals which could be: meditation, listening to music, visualization or even a simple prayer (depending on your beliefs). And remember “to take the game winning shot you gotta be willing to miss it” this applies to whatever aspect of the game and/or of life even. Keep working hard, your comment is pretty old so I hope you don’t struggle with this anymore but if you still do just take into consideration searching for it on the internet and don’t forget, input doesn’t matter if you don’t put it to practice. You could know everything there is to know about anything you want but nothing will change if you don’t do something about it. Take action towards your goals every single day, take every opportunity, every small window, after all what perseveres is perseverance itself so it not only is hard work but consistency and the willingness to build up one step at a time. The willingness to build back a wall that has fallen apart. If you’ve already solved your problem it still is of great value for you to apply this into your daily life, and never forget to help other as you would like to be/ would’ve liked to had been helped in their situation
Not saying this workout is bad, I just think you need to have more variation in the drills you do. Less perfect technique every time. Less block training, more random training for better in game results. Here’s a great video on why technique in basketball is overrated: ua-cam.com/video/sMzxfQBl2YA/v-deo.html
Ok im not gonna watch the vid just giving yall some tips hit the basket. If you can hit a swish against a 50 feet defender you can shoot so dw about the vid and just practice
You nail every workout vid my man. I've been on this drill ever since it came out and my shot consistency already has a noticeable improvement - thank you so much for sharing your insight
