The dorm is nice in itself but it is a bit weird to share especially with 3 people because it's such an open space, But the view and lighting is lovely..

Completely random thought that's probably not relevant to your situation but it always amazes me how US parents treat their 18yo kids like children still and then they just send them off to college where for the first time no one is telling them what to do and when they have to be home etc. No wonder kids go crazy partying and stuff and lose their damn minds in college. It's like they're not prepared for life as an adult.

RubyOpheliaQuinn The Education System (Atleast where I live in the US) Also Is A Big Part Of It, They Don't Prepare You At All For The Adult Life And Says That You Are A Child Even If You Are 18. So If You Turn 18 While Still In Highschool (which most people do) They Still Say You Have No Right To Think And Act As An Adult.
that's mostly privileged kids who still have parents that care. not all US teens are fortunate with supportive families
lol for me its the complete opposite.
my mom wont let me move out and im 21. it's not because she's baby-ing me, it's because she knows eventually i'll HAVE to move out and she'll miss me. Some families just have very close parents, and im blessed to have a mom as close as her :)
but tbh there are some major perks to that... I'm an only child so my parents are crazy overprotective but when i go away next year they will help me pay for pretty much everything. i will get to experience being an adult 2 hours away from them with few financial responsibilities. im not much of a party girl anyways so im not worried about not being able to do what i want, my parents know they raised me well and trust me for the most part lol.

I swear, girls are so much more friendly and willing to hang out the first day opposed to guys (or maybe it's just my roommates) lol. I moved into an apartment (transfer student) and I have 2 other roommates. We all moved in, said hey what's up, I'm from here blah blah I'm majoring in this and that, then we all went into our rooms & that was that LOL. I'm a junior and the other two are sophomores. We'll talk if we happen to see each other at some point, but other than that....yeah, no LOL.
how the heck do people make friends in college then? im moving in very soon and im really scared im not gonna be able to make friends
FuckBoy just be yourself!! don't stay cooped up in your dorm/apartment, get out to the dining halls, football games, parties, whatever. good luckkk :)
this happened to me last year as a transfer! Im transferring for the last time (my fault for not researching the last college) and im hoping this time will be easier to make friends since im sharing a room with my roommate and going to the same college as my boyfriend :)
