    Job skills of the future:
Total availability - 24/7/365 ability to stop anything you are doing and work. That means no only no drugs, but no drinking, no immersive hobbies, no serious amount of time spent with kids and family.
Will travel - willingness to travel anywhere in the world you are needed and for as long.
Self education - no business of the future will offer internal training unless it directly affects bottom line. Employees will be utterly replaceable and only hired after they have achieved the desired skills on their own.
Self risk - the worker takes on the risk of the company, instead of the company taking on the risk of treating a worker like a human.
Mental rape - ability to submit to mental and moral humiliation for decades.
Physical rape, torture or death - employees will sign arbitration papers prior to hiring that will preclude any legal rights.

You almost forgot no overtime, less benefits, and the fact that you will be observed all day.

Thirty years ago, she would have listed computer repairman skills as the best job of the future.

In other words, fewer and fewer corporations gaining control over more and more individuals, eliminating competition, which will lead to a downward spiral in pay and benefits. Or, if you're lucky, small contract jobs that might allow you to barely get by, due to the amount of competition for each small contract job. What a lovely effing future.

Tedx speakers talking about "protecting jobs as the technology completely changes the world" seriously need to learn something from other Tedx speakers, who smartly have already noticed that technology is disruptive in a way that the very pilars of society have to be fundamentaly questioned (not perpetuated at all costs). Like jobs for humans.
When you compare two talks that convey diametrically different points of view and solutions, someone will necessarily sound really stupid.

Actually, this generation is the first that may not live as long as their parents. (For any biologist, that's a serious sign of a species in trouble.)

The problem I see in all this is that the all these innovations are good but deeply rooted on the motivation to make money at the cost of expendable commodity most likely human lives. The world Poverty will get to that point where the world will implode on its self. As at today few government in the world decide what technology or innovation to regulate and what not regulate. If we are truly respecting free market, regulation must be uniformly total or regulation must end. with that said we can all decide how we protect ourselves from alien technology that is poised to take our means of livelihood away. How about letting us invent the new MAN. No that is not going to be allowed but making the world population poorer is by extensions an acceptable innovation...Interesting. My Non scientific instinct just kicked in😉
