It’s because of the strike he didn’t want to promote a show while the strike was going on. He mentions it at 27:58 saying that we don’t want to be scabs.

Man, I wanted to go to this show so bad! I adore this little munchkin and I wanted go but I couldn't 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤧🤧🤧🤧But now I have an opportunity this Christmas to see him in my birthplace (New Jersey) at the Hackensack Meridian Health Theater and now that's the fifth thing I have to do this Christmas along with going to Gaylord National again, see the new movie, Journey To Bethlehem, go to the Museum of the Bible, and go to Sight and Sound Theaters to see The Miracle of Christmas
