- Just outside of Meridian Mississippi is a place called Dunn’s Falls which is a 65-foot man-made waterfall made in the mid 1800s for powering a gristmill and cotton mill. There is also an old gristmill there with all kinds of old stuff inside!

I love checking out these places outside of my hometown. What’s the last interesting place you’ve gone to outside of your hometown?
great job
One of my favorite places I have visited was old rugged cross church where the hymn was first sung at
I went there as a kid 25 years ago. Seems like yesterday. I remember it was 95 Fahrenheit. A "cool front" the weatherman said. The water felt so good. The wheel and a the gears used to work back then. I never went back. Maybe I will.
Got a motorcycle ride going there Saturday 12-19-20. Can't wait! If anyone has a bike they are welcome to join. We will be leaving Laurel at 12:30 and getting to the falls at 1:30. Thanks for sharing your video!
Awesome! Have a good time!!
for some reason, your videos always make me happy. thank you

Love this kinda stuff beautiful , all the old machinery and equipment the water wheel the falls looked very inviting You were pretty courageous walking around on those old wooden floors.😊👋
I loved seeing all that! Haha yeah they definitely wobbled a bit, lol
Very nice! Its been about 15 years since I went to the bottom of the waterfall, still looks pretty.
Hah, same for me! I think I said 13 years in the video, but it was more like 15.
Nice. Thanks for a bit of history.
Thank ya!
So awesome. I'm glad to see you're always careful deej. We have a gristmill about 40 min away that was built in 1849. It's beautiful. And has walking trails. I need to go back and visit. Great vlog! 😎
Oh cool! This was my first one :)

"C'mon Dr. Jones! Strong bridge! Strong wood! "
Hahahahaha!!
Beautiful place, brother. I was so nervous about those old dry-rotted boards as you strolled along - even though I knew you would be fine since I was watching this video. LOL! Be safe and be blessed, sweetie!
Haha yeah I was a little nervous, too :)
At 2:53 that's called a 'sluice' - there'll be a sluice gate above it so that water can be diverted to the wheel
Cool! I was hoping there would be some info at that place about what some of that stuff was, but there wasn’t
Wow! That place is a treasure! You were brave! That wood looked sketchy to say the least! LOL! what happened at 7:54? Yellowjackets? Glad you didn't get stung! What a great place! I'm impressed that people haven't vandalized it . TY for sharing! That was beautiful! (I know going down was a breeze, but how was it coming back up those 5,000 steps?) Lol!
Hah it was some sort of stinging creature that I didn’t wanna mess with. Lol!
Oh and you can see that I purposely did not film the horrendous trek back up the stairs... Hahahaha!
Are you wearing Vans shoes? They are very cool 😎
Lol yup! :)
That bee is my pet. I told it to go after you.
Hahaha!!
