It is fun to watch a novice on a well trained horse! Stacy Westfall is so talented. I never knew she was inspired by "The Black Stallion" movie. I used to go see the Black Stallion "Cass Ole" who was in the film at his home in San Antonio, TX.
I don't do reining I actually ride gaited horses mostly but I do liberty with my gaited mare and she rides tack less it is the best feeling in the world!!!!
Ellen, so glad u had Stacy on ur show, she's an amazing woman & such an accomplished rider, watching her is just beautiful & the bond she builds w/ her horses is just incredible, not many can do what she does! I used to ride alot years ago & watching her makes me want 2 start again* no feeling in the world like riding w/o a bridle & bareback, which Ive done a few times, but nothing like this! Thx again 4 having her, I hope many more will see this very talented lady now & u did great too!
Stacy Westfall is an amzing rider! In her 2006 Reining pattern she did her pattern with no saddle & no bridle! She's so talented. She's definitely my role model(:

One more thing, I read that u & Portia have horses & ride 2-gether on weekends, it showed while riding Roxy( this isnt ur first Rodeo, lol)...u look relaxed & Roxy could feel it, great job! I hope u continue 2 ride, it is so relaxing & great exercise too! Nothing better 2 release stress from ur hectic life 4 sure! Horses 2 me are the most beautiful & loving animals, u just have 2 know what ur doing & how 2 make them respond. I still believe the bond u build is most important when training !

Roxy reminds me of a mare that i own. Her name is Pegasis but she is not brokelike Roxy!!! :) but Pegasis does not have a little white sock on her back leg! I LOVE YOU STACY! I HAVE A COUPLE POSTERS OF YOU!
Roxy was cast in her stall and injured herself in the struggle to free herself. They did a C-section to save the colt, but he was premature and didn't make it. So sad.
