If I were Emily, I'd break up with Jason in a heartbeat. I won't waste my time dating a guy who disrespects me and coerces me into doing something I don't want to do
Emily shouldn't have given in to peer presure, it got her into a whole lot of trouble. Jason was a jerk and the real loser who didn't care about her and even blackmailed her. She should have dumped him as soon as he broke in and put pressure on her to drink. Those were definte red flags that she shouldn't have ignored. Thanks for the awesome video Illumeably. 👍
If that guy really likes her he wouldn’t make her do something she doesn’t wanna do.if he says something like I’ll break up with you if you don’t do this then let him go right ahead he isn’t worth it.never let anyone peer pressure into doing something you don’t wanna do.
I agree with you. If he says that, that means he doesn't care about you at all, only about his social status and that the girl should make him look good. That's some a**hole who needs to be be trown in the dumpster
If I knew what I know now 😅if I had a Boyfriend like her knowing what I know now I'd be like well then! Maybe I don't want a Destructive peer pressureing Boyfriend Who lives on the path of Darkness and Destruction I don't want a Boyfriend that lets the Devil rule Him . I don't want a Boyfriend who clearly Don't care about my feelings or if I Get in Trouble! I don't want a Boyfriend who won't go to school get good grades etc I don't Want Trash in my life so get lost were done!
Agree! And it was kind of amusing how Jason slipped up and slipped on the floor at the end. Great performance coming also from „Emily Cassandra James”' dad!
I feel like the parents should've acknowledged the fact that it is hard not to give into peer pressure at that age. And did anyone else think the dad was being pretty hard on Emily? Getting a 3.0 GPA is not the end of the world.
Never let other people pressure you you’re the strong woman inside your heart they’re not they’re trying to pressure you for you to do bad things for you to go to jail and then they’re gonna run away. You’re gonna be the one left with the bad stuff and you’re going to jail not them you don’t ever let anyone push you.
I got peer pressured into doing dr*gs, but I’m currently 2yrs sober now. Merry Christmas everyone! Plz be strong enough to say no & stand your ground. If you even feel uncomfortable around anyone plz get someone to come get you, or at least send someone your address that you trust. ❤
Here's my continuation: Every day, Emily would immediately come home and do her homework, like her parents directed. She would also clean the house and volunteer at an old folks' home, where she befriended all the residents as time went on. It took years of always telling the truth (except in cases where it was necessary to lie, like to protect her friends from harm) to earn back the trust, but she eventually did it (and graduated at the top of her class). She eventually found a better boyfriend (who dressed like a "bad boy" but had a good heart underneath it all and didn't act the same way Jason did), who supported her in all her endeavors, and plus she also found a job at a local bookstore. And while Emily didn't go teetotal, she only drank in moderation (as did the good boyfriend), and only when she came of age and would always ask her parents for permission (if they said no, she accepted it and did her homework, cleaned, and went to the old folks' home) as they gradually trusted her more, until the trust was fully repaired. And eventually she became a motivational speaker and urged people to stay away from underage drinking. With Jason, he ended up flunking school and his parents epically grounded him for his abuse of Emily and also never doing his homework for months. He was also expelled from his school and sent to juvenile detention hall (and transferred to an adult prison), where they are making the effort to rehabilitate him. But will he ever clean up his act? Time will tell.
Here's my add on for Jason: After he got released from prison after getting rehabilitated, he was unable to find a full-time career and ended up working in retail for the rest of his life.
Moral: The thing about peer pressure is that even though each of us wants to be accepted by everyone else, that DOESN'T mean that we have to ALWAYS go along w/ everything that everyone else does.
I know that Jason peer-pressured Emily into drinking while she was underage, but she really should've known better than to go against her better judgement. Then again, that's not to say I don't think that Jason's a full-on scumbag moron who clearly needs to rethink his life choices.
Even though she did wrong, & if I was her father, I would tell her that, even though it's an EXTREMELY TINY step, she's already taken the 1st step in regaining my trust, by having the guts to admit her mistake. After all, if there's anything I've learned a long time ago, & that it's NEVER an easy lesson to learn, it's that accepting full responsibility & accountability for 1's actions shows some SERIOUS growing up, b/c that's a full responsibility in itself.

This is exactly why I am a hardcore sXe (straight edge) guy. I don't wanna have alcohol in my system, resulting in either doing time in the slammer [penitentiary], hospitalizing me, or even worse, murdering me.
Emily's BF was asking her to drink alcohol, she is underaged!!! Emily was tricked to stay on if she didn't drink and be dumped, she deserves so much better than the jerk!!! Despite warning her BF about her parents, he still had respect for them and called Emily a loser!!! Maybe in other countries, one can drink at 16 or 17, yet world legal limit is 21!!! Dad was nearly onto about the drinking, but reminded her about the 4.0 GPA!!! She won't be sober enough for the test and fail, no thanks to her lousy BF!!! Jason is in need of reality check, and crash somewhere else without Emily!!! Grr!!!
"Come on, don't be a loser, Emily. Drinking is cool." Wrong! Drinking is so not cool, and he's the loser, losing his mind cause of drinking. That's what drinking does to people. Makes people do and say things heartless and foolish things. Lying, BAD BAD BAD. And school VERY IMPORTANT!!!
Don't be pressured anyone to do what is wrong. Make your own decisions even if it means you lose friends. Making stupid decisions will ruin your life forever.

People who peer pressure anyone doing something they don't want to do can cause all kinds of problems
I know Jonathan, Emily shouldn't have ignored the red flags and said "No" to that jerk Jason.
@@ScreenBlaster13 Yep! And that Jason was more than a jerk, he was a punk.
That boyfriend is such a jerk!😡
He should stay away from the petty girlfriend for his sake

You should never pressure someone into drinking, especially if they’re under aged
