@@VermontScaleCustoms LOL, real HR here. Thanks for the positive feedback. I plan to watch more vids as I am always looking for good instructional tools. If I see helpful clips I will be sending customers your way. Take care.
Well thanks so very much for taking the time to comment! I have had quite a lot of requests for a step by step build. If HR would be willing to send me another chassis, I’d be happy to do a more in-depth video. The crawler, itself, blows me away. It’s gotta be the best geometry that I’ve used yet for the SCX24 platform.
@@VermontScaleCustoms Personally, I would be all over the idea of "parts for vids" but it would create conflicts. We also get more honest reviews if there is no obligation from either party. But I can and will send viewers when the opportunity arises.
Ha! Thanks. This is actually my *desk* desk. I decided to build this in comfort instead of working at the real work bench at the kitchen table, lol! Thanks for tuning in!
I have so many irons in the fire with RC stuff. This one just got new axles, skid plate and diff guards, it’s pretty much complete for my liking. I’m about to start another WPL build so it’s gonna eat up some funds. You should check out the SCX all metal chassis video when I upload it. New high end for 1:24 scale!
Nice overview of the build. I had planned a larger brushless motor w/ a Lizard and receiver, but damn that is so small inside. I may have go to an 050 like you have installed w just the stock ESC.
Thanks! The barrage motor does pretty well with this thing. I haven't run it much since I added the weight of a skid plate and metal axles but I'm sure it's going to be fine. It's got plenty of power and torque for everything I've put it through.
What size hex heads are the screws? I have a .05 and a 1.5, neither fit. I don’t understand why they would use a non standard screw size. The rest of their parts use the standard sizes.
I used a .5mm for almost the entire setup of this. I'm not sure why it would be different for your kit. Sorry that it is! Perhaps the tip of yours is slightly worn which can make things challenging. I have a WPL chassis that most of the 1.5mm hex are now pretty loose/stripped. So it's a pain to maintenance that truck because of it. But, as far as I know, it's a .5mm for the HR kit.
@@VermontScaleCustoms I’m actually using a brand new hex driver. I tried 2 different ones on multiple screws and none fit. It’s really weird because 100% of my other Hot Racing products have had the normal .05 screws and worked fine. Maybe I got a bad kit. I emailed HR, nothing back yet. Keeping fingers crossed
This video is over two years old. I don't even have this chassis any more. I gave it to a friend in the form of a C10 build/swap for him. When these first came out, they were $49 no matter where you purchased them. Now they're down to $16. Also, Hot Racing never included any instructions. So they contacted me to thank me for doing the video since no one knew how to put it together. They were linking people to it. I also had countless people message me and request a different version than the original timelapse of the build. To this day it's still probably my most popular video at almost 15k views.
Hot Racing help desk gives you a thumbs up! Well done, and thanks for helping out our customers.
Not sure if this is the real HR but yeah, this has been my most popular video to date! It’s a great chassis.

Totally logical and completely understand and agree. Thanks in advance for anyone you may send over my way, as well.
I love your work mat man, classy.

It's a great kit. I have mine set up with all wheel steer, telescopic shocks, all metal axles and such. It pretty much goes anywhere.

Hey brother, thanks for this slowed down video version. It will definitely help my assembly process when I get my kit. Great videos
You're welcome, I hope it helps!
a trick: you can watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching all kinds of movies these days.

Exelent work my friend, love you builds!)
Вячеслав, thank you very much for your comment! I really appreciate it. - Mark
Thanks
You're welcome. I know there are a couple of other more in depth 'how to' videos out there if this one doesn't answer your questions.
It’s really good nice video
Thank you good sir!
You're welcome, sorry it took so long to get this uploaded!
Thks for sharing bro 😎
Thanks for watching and commenting! 👍👍

My aluminum black chassis was $16.00, just like yours. That extra metal windshield kinda thing on the roof, just cut it off, it's not needed.

Nice 👍
Thanks. Had a lot of requests for this one.
Great content..subbed #250
Thank you for watching! Congratulations on being #250. That's awesome. Thanks for the sub 👍🏼
Looks to complicated
It wasn't too bad. I was a little confused about how to build it at first but it went together really easily.
