breakage had this certain sound he used a lot in his jungle tunes. im talking about the delayed pad that comes in and out - eg in this song, mars, admit to love, can i, and several other songs. its very nostalgic. also the way he chose and mixed vocal samples made it so easy to know when it was a breakage tune you were listening to. imo it is the little quirky things like that makes jungle very varied even though 90% is recycling the same drum samples.
Inspired me back in ‘03 to reverse and delay the pads, brought the Dub to Jungle effectively. Big up, it was only a handful of us trainspotters who noticed
@TheOneMrFoster You say this like he moved strictly to dubstep. He didn't. His last album, Foundation, was about half dubstep and half DnB. I've seen him twice in the last 2 years, and both times he played a smattering of dubstep, jungle, techno, and house.
@paradox20069 Downloading vids like this will never touch the sound quality of an LP. Downloading is nice for personal enjoyment, buying high quality physical media is the right choice for performance. High-quality uploads on YT are still pretty rare.
Gave this gem a spin this afternoon, I completeley forgot
a. It even exists
b. I own it
Nice to be reminded of both :D
Warrior tune seeeeen
Breakage, one of the best and most overlooked producers in jungle, dnb and beyond!
