They're all on the same level as they were then actually. The only difference is that more parts are given to Jongup and Himchan and since they're technically less skilled than Youngjae/Daehyun, the difficulty of their songs also lowered and so yes vocally speaking, their songs are less interesting than they were during the 2012/2014 period. Could also simply be because of composition choice, FSG and TMJ are songs with a fairly easy range for all of them.
I think it's because the difficulty of their songs lowered since they're trying out a new sound and their concept now is pretty different. FSG and TMJ kind of focuses more on being catchy than being vocally challenging songs.
I understand everyone's point of views. I'd also like to add that usually when groups debut, they always showcase and stick to something defining about them. Then later on, they more or less break away from those ideals. Like how in the beginning Himchan was defined as visual and only visual, Daehyun was defined as main vocal, and Jongup defined as a main dancer. But nowadays we see Himchan and Jongup given more singing parts (Jongup even has several solo songs now), and Daehyun gets a lot of love for being really handsome and hosts don't always ask about his Busan accent. I don't doubt that they are as talented as they always had been, I just think that since they're exploring different genres, they're not focusing too much on "proving" how good they are (well they don't need to prove their talent).
Oh, and one more thing! When I went to their live concert for LOE 2016, they sounded absolutely fantastic live. And they pretty much danced and sang for 2+ hours straight (I was feeling tired just by standing for 2 hours lol). They still sounded like perfection even towards the end of the concert. So rest assured, their vocals are still just as good, if not even better than before. :)
not sure if any of you listened to their resent lives but daehyun keeps singing off-pith?(삑사리가 영어로 뭐냥...) ,even while singing FSG.... and he can't even perform their previous songs like 1004 and oneshot perfectly. He overused his throat while practicing and during the world tour. Now he keeps singing the high notes in falsetto(?). Also his singing method changed and his throat conditions have been a real big issue among Korean fans, cause in Korea their recent lives were quite bad... :( And not only daehyun, but yeongjae's singing also changed so we are quite upset... I am glad he sang well at the concert you went to, but it is really quite hard to tell if the live was good at a concert.. just hoping he did well in duetgayoze
