  • In this video, I show you how to play my comping arrangement of the great bluesy jazz tune "Blue Bossa." It's a C-minor blues progression and I mix in a lot of chords to make the arrangement more interesting to the listener. If you play this song in a jazz group you should give my arrangement a try!     It’s funny. Just today, in the shower as usual where all good ideas come from, I asked myself about going ii-V into the iv-, just like we would in a Dominant key Jazz Blues. And here it is!

    Tremendous instruction given here. The concept of "reaffirming tonality" is something I wish I understood decades ago.
