Would love a vid/segment where you explain what you're seeing when scouting a new spot, particularly what are you taking note of/researching to prepare yourself to stay safe surfing a place you're not yet familiar with both from land and also once you're in the water. Would be awesome for those of us who see your videos and are inspired to explore as well

At least for me, 64 years old now. Growing up as a kid in South Santa Cruz county. Back then, being a kneeboarder was cool. Riding little boards/exploring/finding places that the General Public would not go. I see this same in Nathan. And He has the whole world now to work with.

That first session had some solid mountains rolling in. Seeing you boys paddling up the sets put the size into perspective. One of those sessions where you make it out and then realise “ f#$k now I gotta paddle into one of these things”. Hats off to you.

I walked halfway down that track in fine weather and it was terrifying. Can't imagine doing it in a wetsuit with a surfboard under one arm. There is no vegetation to break your fall or slow you down either, it's next stop rock beach a long, long way below. Had my repect before you even paddled out.
A revolutionary free surfer that is exceeding all limits. He needs to hook up with Kirby and chasing monsters movie, the only thing even close to this kind of risk and reward. Aloha!
The editing of these videos is getting amazing. Dunno if you can fit it in but the launch off the rocks into the water is also fascinating, for timing, path, technique, can we have the whole thing in future vids please?
