It looks like the EQA and the EQB actually have exactly the same drag coefficient, and the EQB only has a tiny bit more frontal area, so I guess that's why the two are so evenly matched! Initially I had expected the EQB to be way worse, so this is good to see!
5800 sek/month + insurance(probably 500ish) for 20000km/year base model. If they decide to go through with the climate bonus/you manage to get delivery before the money runs out, otherwise it will probably be another 2k sek/month.
thanks for the as always great test. hm only 235km or so range at a normal highway speed that would be far too little for my needs, esp considering how expensive it is. also bit surprised it has such a rather small battery (15kWh less than the I4?) because such a boxy car with that kind of thirst needs at least a battery the size of the Mach-E to reach reasonable ranges...
And this is due to them making a car that will be just as usable in 10+ years. Battery buffer ensures same available capacity even after battery degrade. Alternative is making cars as some do with warning about charging past 80%
@@omarbabakarkhail and every of those ev's are leased :) Norwegians try to flex so much they lease everything nowadays... 10 years ago when buying power in Norway was higher than today, there were many many old cars on the roads but now ev hype changed the game and everyone tries to get their hands on a new ev by leasing it... sad, I'd rather buy a good used tesla model s in Norway for 25k eur max and then save up money for a big house.
@@jump3erlt It's actually cheaper for a family of two adults commuting from 30 km outside of Oslo to get a loan on a brand new EV than to buy a train ticket. People don't need to lease them when the alternative is to pay for crappy public transport which is money you will never get back again.

not everyone in Norway have money to buy a even a cheap normal gasolin car. Many starting having problem with money here to. But familys with 2 people normally working have enough to buy a EV family car👍
issue with this size is that for long distance and even some relatively local family use, you need a roof box... then the efficiency might not be so good. Does it have fast enough charging to make short pit stops...
Your quite right but the issue is that long travels with 7 passengers will most likely demand more space than any SUV can manage. Then you might need to look for a bus type model that can properly seat 7 and luggage.

Does it have smart charger onboard? Can I set it up to start charging at a time so it's 100% full at 7am? I know wallabies have that but some cars as well ;) ..also, when charging, are you able to set up car so the temp inside is I.e.20'C at 7am and this comes from cable, not battery?

This car is equipped with the "advanced sounsystem". As you can see at 0:24, additional speakers are installed in the rear door. This sound system is included in the "advanced-plus package" that this car has due to the "thermotronic".
Standard, advanced and specially tuned. 3 types of sound system. The second one comes Standard with the premium model, the third one come with and additional package. But the 2nd and third sound the same, 3rd is slightly better, but most people can't tell. This is what the dealer told me.

EQB 350 with some options lands on the same price as a Tesla Y (not adding full self driving option) here in Sweden (around 70k euro vat included). I'd rather have the Y than a EQB at the same price....
I thought so too until I tried both and decided on build quality over funtime. The TMY will be pretty close to the EQB in price when the 7 seater gets here so I initially decided to wait. Then I tried them.... I really don't like buggy HW, and half finished products so I chose the EQB. Fanboys see it as a good thing that the car get HW upgrades every other month and bug fix SW updates. The thing is that well made products built to last has been through proper testing and don't need those updates. Also a brand that has been around for a long time knows how to engineer HW that works in all sorts of conditions. That's why I say built to last vs built to impress.
@@Bajotaz That can mean so much. These brands have been making cars for so long that it would depend on what model and year you are referring to. Both MB and Ford had great cars and some useless. Also it would depend on what faults you had. My MB mostly struggled with rust and engine sensor issues. I'm thinking build quality as in chassis, suspension, brakes etc. This is where Tesla really lagg behind. Rambling doors, leaks here and there and these funny window solution that was not intended for Nordic climate. The EV setup is new tech anyways and it would not surprise me if the EQB has some Tesla HW there.

The OTA updates are not bug fixes, they have added a lot to Tesla cars over the years, they include bug fixes because that's what you do if you know how to do OTA and have a decent team of software engineers. Haven owned two Tesla's, I have been experiencing this for years, the cars keep getting better. Tesla's are built to last, they also keep their value better than the car you are praising... You complain about things like OTA updates as if it's a bad thing, you are out of touch and don't know what you are talking about. Do you even know what HW and SW mean, because your use hints you don't.

Most of this is HW, physical issues, mechanical issues that has been made to be exiting more than reliable. I don't know how the hell you ended up with that consumption on the i4. I drove it with 23/24 kWh at 130 at around the same temperature. At 120 it would have been 22 maybe. Where is the extra 5 kWh coming from? Did you run a washing machine in the trunk while driving? There something off.
A washing machine pulls only about 500 W on average. At 120 km/h, that equals to 500 W / 120 km/h = 4 Wh/km which would barely make a dent on the consumption.

My only issue with the TMY 7 seat is that your head is exposed to the window on the hatch. It's kind of funny cos if you're tall, your head will pop out when the hatch opens. Not sure how that would be in a potential crash but one probably feels a bit unprotected. Would like to see these cars side by side comparison.
If you want a electric 7 seater for a good price. It’s this or the øresus. The sad part is that you can’t have trailer hook on this one.(what I’ve heard)
It doesnt make sense to change lane if you drive faster than everybody else so i sympathize with left lane huggers as long as noone from behind is closing in.
@@hgh425 sure there are but driving is more about experience than laws. Most safe way to travel on a highway is to not change lane everytime you overtake someone causing a possible slip of the tires. If you know you are going to overtake more cars in a few seconds you might just as well save yourself from the accidental slip causing a major crash. See what i did there? I used logic why not to listen to every stupid traffic rule that makes no sense.

So in a way everyone is doing wrong for speeding in the first place. Adressing that problem is also impossible to control. One could also suspect that less efficient cars will be less affected by weight change just as adding roof boxes. Also range will highly depend on terrain. On straight roads without change in altitude one should not notice much difference, but on mountain trips it could be a different deal.

Trailer hitches are overrated. Unless you drag a boat or camper you should count the number of times you use it and calculate the trip cost. Anyways I think most people think they need it way more than they really do.
The bicycle market is growing and growing. What do people do on the weekend? Driving by car to the bike tour. How do cyclists transport them? On the trailer hitch.

please check the battery size. on MB configurator all EQBs have 66 kwh. i wish they hade a 79,8 kwh

Yes, both the second and the third row has ISOFIX points. Also the front passenger seat, if I recall correctly so support for max 5 child seats!
