    At last some one who can start one correctly, well done. Not like some U see on here, great clouds of white smoke, a sledge hammer knocking away inside the engine as it tries to run on only a couple of cylinders, there is a lot out there that should watch this video they might learn something.

    Spent a few hours on 8H’s & D8k’s doing land development and ripping cotton country
    Spent a lot of nights in the winter freezing my butt off in the cold ripping and towing land planes
    They where the go to back in the day the only machine with enough horsepower to get the job done

    In 1980 about 20 to 30 D8H were brought in from the uk to Australia after a major road project was finished l know of 3 of them in the Moree nsw area one has a serial number 22a 1436 and 1438 the other one wasn’t far from these one as well be interesting what that one is

      @@gregf1349 she’s number 1467, maybe came off the same firm as was in construction initially then agriculturalised in 1980.

      I think it was one of the big motor way over there M1 not sure the ones over here have 7 roller track frame and direct drive most of them were bare tractors blades and rippers scrub canopy’s were fitted out here

      There was a lot D8K as well came a cross at the same time one company in Moree had 13 8k 8h a lot of land was getting developed around that time for cotton needed direct drive for farming and ripping ground power shift 7s 8s could not go in the heat out here 10 or 11 park up and wait for it to cool down great tractor done a lots of hours on them

    By the movement of vegetation when the big engine started, is there a bit of a leak on the exhaust manifold?

      @@blinkybagger8342 probably from the fan as it blows instead of draws. Full engine rebuild last year.

    Interesting to see that unit has a cab, but doesn't seem to have a ROPS.....

      @@sstocker31 was converted to an ag tractor in 1980 so assume it was added then as weather protection only.

      @@alanlanghorn9528 used it for mole draining last year. Would do more with it but haulage is ridiculously expensive now unfortunately.
