I did a one nighter a few days ago with my gathered end hammock, in Wisconsin. I have two mylar/foam pads, half pound each, that I drape over my ridge line and over the outside edges of the hammock. Then I enclose it all, hammock, underquilt, and foil/foam "ceiling insulation" with a wind sock. It gets 15 degrees F warmer inside the hammock than outside, when I am in it. The insulation pads are bulky, but very light, so I pack each one in its own cinch sack and carry one hung from the handle of each of my two trekking poles. Easy and works great!
You need a pulk wagon. Looks heavy. Happy New Year, cheers!

That little oven is brilliant. Totally stealing that idea! 😊
That's why you gotta get an 18" stove! Course then you gotta rely on snow and a sled...
The old trusty canoe site! Love it.

@ Thank you. I appreciate it.
Is that the canoe site near the beach? You look like you could use a Burley trailer. Be nice to your back, old man.
