I can not get enough of this album... I bet there hasn't gone a week since it was released I have not listened to part of it ...if not all... just so timeless to me.
@@shinyarif2933 you’re going to die eventually. There’s “nowhere to hide”. “Sing your song” be the best you can be and do what you love because regardless you’re gonna be doing something to maintain
This album just hits so hard in my car. The bass shakes my bones like a hip hop song. But there’s just so much going on and lyrics with substance it’s great. Probably driving faster than I should be
In the early 90's, there was a running argument, you couldn't be a Pearl Jam fan and also a STP fan, I always called BS on that feud. I loved them both, but I felt I knew where Scott came from because he was branded an outcast in his youth. I always identified with him. He was more than a Brilliant singer, he was an actor and a force of nature. R.I.P. Energy never dies. Adrianne Meeks
Epic. My favorite song by Stone Temple Pilots. Long and swampy. This, my friends, is grunge music. Back in the early 90s when this stuff came out, this song didn't get radio airtime. Of the ones of theirs that did, my favorites where "Plush" and "Interstate Love Song". I feel lucky to have been in my early teens when this stuff was coming out, back when I feel I truly developed an appreciation for "real" music, music with skill. If you like this song, I also recommend "Hunger Strike" by Temple of the Dog.
I agree! I think he's still underrated even now. He deserves a lot more praise, he's so talented. Has anyone in this thread read his book? If you haven't, I think you'll really enjoy it. I read it over the summer, and I was so hooked, it only took me 3-4 days to finish it.
@@davidwaters935 I agree but I really like songs like this... it’s not radio friendly at all, very long etc but to me is a crime that more people haven’t “commercially” heard it. It’s like STP’s When The Levee Breaks type stuff.
I have the answer mate.A comatose, catatonic, stupid, asleep, ignorant, complacent, apathetic, pathetic, inexperienced, uninformed,a zombie or someone dead. That's the kind of person who doesn't like this song!😒😵🧟
I'll wait and find out about that rent , such killer writing , this was always my favorite stp but I burned up so many copys of this , it's still good today .. amazing ! thanks for the lyrics !
I think I get it now speak your mind and don’t let your be killed for it at least that’s what I get from it regardless I love ❤the song and miss Scott😭
This guy had pipes man!!! . i never pigeonholed this band!!!... Thrown in grunge scene from cali....soundgarden ...AIC....PEARL JAM.....STP........BIG FOUR.....and Dean Dealeo had fucked up chords in his songs.....and the chemistry with his brother!!!!!
Ok I might be stuck in the past but willingly because this modern excuse for music sucks donkey butt🤭.It all sounds the same, no melody,no rhythm,no composition and no soul.In my opinion there can be no more good songs to be made because it's been played out. All of the good and timeless songs have been written- from the 1950's until the early 2000's. There's no reason, impetuous, drive, creative endevour or genius left. There is still good music to be made though but the Spirit of song making has already been accomplished. I'm an optimist and I hope that I'm wrong in this department but this stuff nowadays is garbage(at best!)
“ SING THAT SONG, SING THAT SONG INSIDE “ that shit sounds so fucking sick I love it

My favourite STP song. Vocally 100%

Scott had a beautiful lift off to his voice. Just really gets me in my feelings, every time. Genuine musician.

I hear a big Metallica Black Album influence all over this album
When I think of STP it's the first two albums, after that everything is secondary and useless trivia, Tiny Music is ok and no. 4 is casual I guess!😒
