As always a very good review! Toyota sells around 400,000 RAV4s every year so they must being doing something right. Unfortunately some dealers are still doing markups. The Hyundai Tucson has good value as well and I preferred it over the Honda CRV. I just hope Toyota does not change it much so that when my lease is up in two years on my Tucson I can hopefully get one.
The xle does have remote start via the Toyota app . First year is free then I think it’s $8.00 a month for access to remote start through the Toyota app .
I Would NOT consider a CVT in anything... even if they GAVE it away... just from looking at this- seems it has plenty of pickup... so looks good to me... and one thing most folk don't think about- is if a battery in a hybrid goes bad- that's $8,000 to repair- or more IF I F you can even find one. Extreme temps- a few days of below zero will KILL one quickly also.. I'm liking this just from watching your video. THANKS.. I'm like you- prefer just gas!!!
@@chabbysrides Your "style" of presentation is very similar to everyone elses-- but somehow DIFFERENT-- and BETTER - at least for me.. seems more natural and REAL.. I have always like the RAVs but they felt underpowered. I was considering getting a 2012 (the V-6 version) because they are very powerful- zippy and solid- and FUN, but this one (2024) looks very good- thanks again.. depends on the $$ at the time which one I buy!! ha.
Excellent vehicle..nice color combo. I would ditch the AWD, the sunroof and the crossbars on the roof rack. Rented one at the beginning of this current series. Ride was very noisy and engine coarse on acceleration. Rented another one..and Toyota had obviously addressed the noise and harshness issues..much improved. The real competition here is the CRV non-hybrid, but no thanks on the turbo engine. The other main contenders are base Tucson or Sportage from Hyundai-Kia. Here the choice is more difficult and might sway me to a Hyundai or Kia. Probably could argue that no AWD might hurt resale, but my opinion is it adds extra weight and complexity and it will never be needed. I live in a high snowfall area and my choice is a quality winter tire instead to help steering, braking, etc. AWD might give you more confident acceleration on take off on poor traction surfaces, but possibly not..surely not worth the additional cost. Great review and very good vehicle!
I just got my 2024 XLE rav4. Im in BC Canada but these all come from Woodstock Ontario. I like the 8 speed auto . I think the XLE offers the best features for the price. For example, the LE has no roof rails, so a roof rack is a big issue. In defence of the hybrids-these are not a CVT like Subaru and Honda. The Rav4 hybrids are E-CVT which means the variable ratios are achieved by electric motors spinning at different speeds and sometimes running in reverse. Its the same system a Prius uses. The Rav4 hybrids have a third electric motor in the back for AWD. I like it simple. so I got the gas only XLE. Less money, less to go wrong.
I agree with your preference to the gas version with the 8-speed automatic! Keep things simple. I would try to get a base XLE non-hybrid version. Good review!
CVT - very high maintenance. Hybrid - high cost to replace the battery once out of warranty. Electric - prone to spontaneous combustion. Turbocharged - shortened engine life. I’ll stay with naturally aspirated and traditional transmission for the long haul.
The e-cvt is actually much more reliable than the traditional 8 speed. Do your research they have virtually no issues with them. Thats goes for toyota, other car brands not so much
@klb6453 yeah it's a perfect car tbh lol, reliable, good price, and looks great, great MPG.... but everytime I see one the driver is a women 95% of the time lol which makes me not want to get it as a man lol
@@ericzz93 😂😂😂😂. Well, it looks like I may not get it. Someone on here said that short people out there should get a booster seat for the drivers seat. My husband test drove it a few weeks ago. And he said that the seat sat low for him. And he is like 5’9. I want a vehicle that I can sit higher up. I’m 4’11. So yeah, onto the next vehicle. I’m replacing my 2010 Honda Fit Sport.
I am going with a 2024 Toyota Rav 4 XLE. Just waiting for mine to arrive soon 😎
watch out for tire as its 17 inch only , however the premium one has 19 inch.
CVT???
I bought a 2024 RAV4 XLE AWD so far love it
So excited to pick mine up tomorrow… I feel like a kid heading to Disney 😂
How is it?
My dream car the problem the getting rid the gas
Going to hybrif

Thanks Anthony! 434k in sales last year. People buy a lot of these. Thanks for tuning in.

@davidwayne9982 Thanks David! Much appreciated.
It doesn’t have a CVT it has the excellent “E” CVT which is a geared planetary system.
Rogue has CVT problems.... Expensive to repair.... Got a 2024 RAV4 xle AWD

Toyota if you want to keep it ... super reliable. My 2008 sienna has 2O5k... some repairs of course but never broke down.
Thank you for this review.. this will help me a lot on my incoming 2024 Rav4 XLE
Thank you for watching. Enjoy your new RAV!

I bought the LE and purchased my own wheels.
I just bought a LE Hybrid and it had the same wheels as the XLE.
Just bought my XLE today, should get it in a couple of weeks
same here!

I recently ordered a Rav4 XLE. The only option I would have wished was available is an auto dimming rear view mirror with compass.

I’m confused between Rav 4 clear and Mazda cx5 which one should I buy. In terms of fuel economy features realability and feel
Mazda will rust away before you hit 250000. Had one never again. I went with rav4 le coming in April. Buy what you need not what you want.
What do people think of the blueprint colour. Ive got mine coming in a month
Nice watch. Omega Seamaster, I guess.
Is it worth the wait for a 2025 Rav4 XLE -vs- getting the 2024 same model??
i want to know this as well
beast car i laved
Nice Review, thank you
Thanks! Thank you for tuning in.
Doses the vehicle have mirror memory?
Does2024 rav4 XLE has blind spot mirror in standard version of it?
yes blind spot comes standard on XLE trim.

How do you activate awd system?
Really asking ? AWD always on its all wheel at a launch if it slipery ! And switch from wheel to other as it needs to...

🌑🖤🌑 Rav4 🌑🖤🌑

I test drive a rav4 than drive a crv honda much better drive was crv honda .
In your videos, It is a very noisy car.
I just bought a RAV4 xle premium. They’re not a Lexus but, the noise factor is overstated in a lot of reviews. I really like mine.
Excellent and one of the most thorough , accurate RAV4 reviews I’ve watched. I own the 2023 xle premium gas in blue print.
