53:49 Having been in a poly relationship, the answer is it's ugly. Poly breakups are ugly. What if it was a love triangle and A and B break up, but both are still dating C. How does that work? At least one of two probably thinks they're in the right and wants C on their side, now A and B are fighting for C, trying to break C up with the other. Or, what happens with most "poly couples" is A and B are dating, B wants to go into an open relationship because they met C and then B will eventually leave A for C. Which is basically just cheating with extra steps. In the end, A still ends up with B sleeping with someone else and eventually single and B ends up with C. Or alternatively, we're doing the "every 14yo girl's romance scenario after reading twilight", where both A and B are into C and C is into both of them, can't decide and decides to just pick both. This, inevitability, will end with A or B breaking up with C or the other way round, leaving C with the other and then probably with either C or the other cheating on oneanother because their record of being faithful isn't exactly great and C's attraction to their remaining partner is probably not that strong because if it were stronger, the decision wouldn't be so hard and the decision is only made through outside circumstances. Scenarios like this invite just the next hot person to come around and C or the partner to go "Hey, you were fine with a poly relationship last time, so let's do that again" and then one of the partners ditching the other for the shiny new person coming along. Over all, every poly relationship I've had or seen others have always ended in cheating and the ugliest breakup, no matter how many rules you put into play, how often you reassure your partner that you would never leave them or that you won't be jealous, because let's be honest, you are. You are jealous when your partner tells you how great their date went and all the nice things their other partner did for them. In my experience, the only people who ask to be in a poly relationship are the ones that aren't serious about you anyway, either because they're indecisive or because they already plan on cheating on you. If they ask to be poly, lads, ladies and lassos, run. They will break your heart and it is inevitable.
@@kingmric: Calling him an incel is beyond stupid. Women have thirsted over him. The people who wrote that are probably women who are jealous of other women who are able to get him.
Said this on the original: It's most likely the guy who said "I don't like... colorful hair" was just using that because he either: saw the way she treated the last guy from behind the camera or he made assumptions based on the hair color that he just didn't wanna deal with explaining xD And the guy who was like "I like the haircut" then "I'm really into longer hair right now" is probably how you know he was telling the truth. He commented on the first thing he noticed, her hair and he complimented it instinctively which happens for 2 reasons: You really like it, or you really hate it and feel guilty so you say something nice xD

19:53 I’m sorry, but I like tall women, it might be due to me being used to looking up at most people since I’m 5’6”, below the world average for men, and just subconsciously want to save my future kids from feeling insecure. Plus, I wouldn’t mind the uppies.

I love how the cow in plaid buzzed out for guys who were clearly out of her league for little to no reason whatsoever. That must have been her highest high ever. She's definitely going to remember that moment on her deathbed, when all her cats are looking at her funny.
I think it's hard to make a study on this really. No fault to the researchers honestly. So much of attraction can change beyond the first impression honestly, and social experiments have always been notoriously hard to do and often unreliable(at least recent ones). Both men and women can be incredibly shallow in general because the initial impression is very important and it can give an idea of someone, but it's not super reliable either. It's why you can become attracted to someone over time even if not initially, but you can't force people to try and get to know you. So, do your best to outwardly appear put together. I avoid the term attractive because that actually is highly subjective. Just look like you are organized, clean, and some level of confidence. It will help. Do not let lack of self-confidence or some lack of "reality" stop you. There are people with serious physical deformities that are married.
17:40 Wrong example: Henry has shown his personality with honesty - he's a humble geek with muscles. C'mon we are talking about a man who was late for his auditions because he had played World of Warcraft. A lot of mren are eager to hang out with him (even not in a gay way) because he's "a chill cool dude". So... Yeah, I think it's a swing and a miss.
Yep, the so called alphas aren't even that polarizing, they will attract other dudes just cuz we know they are more sociable due to being perceived as more attractive and respectable.
I guess it depends on our definitions. Men are more visual and I’m getting tired of pop media trying to shame men for that. I do not begrudge women wanting a strong, fit man, who cans protect and provide. What I do resent is how ridiculous and superficial they’ve become in their selection criteria.
I automatically lose any respect for anybody who says they can "fix someone". That's what my mother thought about my father, and... well, let's just say that didn't turn out well.
Short answer is no one. Too much influence from social media and other personalities on how they should run their dating life. A think a nice reset is well past due.
Oi! Stop laughing! Those are MAN colors, okay? 😂 It's a product aimed at men, "Basecamp Orange" and "Gunmetal" makes me more inclined to buy it then any other name would lol
I counted the number of times the guys didn't reach for the button vs the number of times the girls didn't reach for the button. I didn't include when it showed the same sex couples as this is a guy vs girl thing. I figured this was the best indicator instead of counting who reached for the button as the reason for reaching may or may not be a shallow one (which is a bit subjective) where as not reaching means that they were willing to give the other person more of a chance and was a better indication of not being as picky and therefore not as shallow. So if they both reached for the button, it canceled out and nothing was counted. If the scene changed and it didn't show what happened, nothing was counted (even if we can determine who actually pressed the button since that person stays, we don't know if they both reached for it or not). The final tally: Guys - 22 Girls - 11 Meaning the girls were more likely to reach for the button than the guys. They were pickier and therefore, more shallow.
Shoes videos are good. Fun while still interesting. So many ppl want the perfect one they pass on someone perfectly fine while wanting someone above their league
wow, what a surprise, a woman would prefer to pick a man with an expensive car over a man with a non expensive car when given literally no other difference, thanks shoe, turns out water *IS* wet indeed
My hypothesis is that men care more about looks when it comes to attraction, but men are also far more likely to sleep with people they're not even attracted to than women are. So this can make men seem less shallow.
I think that men care more about looks, but their threshold for what is attractive is far, far lower than women's threshold. Couple that with the idea that men tend to seek details that they like about a woman's appearance when they look at her, even if they arent initially attracted to her; women seem to tend to seek details that they dont like, which they can use to disqualify the man as a prospect. "Hmm, she is really not my type, but I kinda like the profile of her face..." vs "he has a handsome face, is pretty tall and muscular, just my type, but his forearms are bit too hairy..." It sorta makes sense, men need to be less picky in order to incentivize procreation, while women have to be naturally more picky, due to pregnancy and reliance on a man to provide for her children and her. Biology, which then influences psychology, which then influences society :)

it's supposed to be a show about making couples, but it turned out to to be a weird competition of who can justifiably reject the other first
53:49 Having been in a poly relationship, the answer is it's ugly.
That's why this kind of "relationship" will never work. Live with it.

The thing about the dating shows is, these people are on it because they're bad at dating.
Of course they're going to be shallow.
Asian dude is a genius
Yep, the so called alphas aren't even that polarizing, they will attract other dudes just cuz we know they are more sociable due to being perceived as more attractive and respectable.

The final tally:
Guys - 22
Girls - 11
Meaning the girls were more likely to reach for the button than the guys. They were pickier and therefore, more shallow.

Dude I like how panicked the women are if the can't use their eyes to judge. 😂
"Hmm, she is really not my type, but I kinda like the profile of her face..." vs "he has a handsome face, is pretty tall and muscular, just my type, but his forearms are bit too hairy..."
It sorta makes sense, men need to be less picky in order to incentivize procreation, while women have to be naturally more picky, due to pregnancy and reliance on a man to provide for her children and her. Biology, which then influences psychology, which then influences society :)
Not true.
