I do not think so. This was mei zou's moment and honestly I loved their storyline. Even if it did not end well, it showed that if you really love a person, you set them free if he/she cannot love you back. I think in real life, shen yue had a prior commitment so they filled some episodes with mei zou - caina - terrence storyline.

I guess this is the first Meteor Garden but they changed it and make Zoey Chen as Shancai instead of that girl and Dylan Wang is Ah Si instead of Connor Leong Only my guess

The thing is, the series doesn't always circulate in Shan Cai. This scene, was one of the purest. But the story line between Meizuo and Caina were fucking emotional, I had sweat in my eyes. Meizuo had to sacrifice his love, so Caina would live happily. Caina really loves Terrence, and their love to each other are deep. This scene shows how a member of F4 can make you happy, if one of them falls in love with you.
Zhou Caina was not meant to be for Mei Zuo,, i'm just giving my opinion. And that's how it ends. Zhou Caina and Ye Mingchuan or Terrence are together again....
