  • Hi!
    No music. No talking. Just work.
    If you are taking your ACER ASPIRE 5750G laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
    Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
    If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
    Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
    Have fun and good luck!!
    regazzz
    P.S. There is no reassemble video - that's why I have created a special channel for Backwards Playback Support for
    each video that is missing reassemble. It is not the best possible solution obviously but better than nothing.
    Find a link at the end of each video. #recycling #recycle #upcycling #zerowaste #sustainability #reuse #environment

    I did this video a while ago, I am not sure, I think there was some problem with motherboard.
    This isn't a gaming laptop, so, I would expect some overheating issue while gaming.
    Thanks for comments!!!

    Thanks so much for posting this video showing clearly how the fan needs to be replaced. it is a tricky job. cannot believe they make it so inaccessible. they are really trying to create built in obsolescence with this design. next computer i will definitely look to see how easy the fan is to remove. my much older computer is a compaq and that is really simple to do.
    nothing like this nightmare.

  • @regazzz

    To remove a dc jack you will need pretty much everything that I did in this video, except maybe LCD can stay. You may need to flip motherboard, because even if you will be able to remove DC jack while motherboard is inside, but to place it back it will be a little pain, much easier if motherboard is flipped.
    What you need.
    1) tools 2) dc jack 3) antistatic wristband (better wired) 3) Glue (in case some plastic parts are damaged and you will be able to fix it)

      @@jubeidono I've had this laptop for over 7 years and that's not the first thing that failed. 1st was the keyboard, 2nd was the monitor, 3rd was the audio, then it was the charging entry thing it got pushed down inside. then it was the harddrive, Then it became very slow probably because of frequent overheats and powering down mostly in the summer, and now the fan isn't running at all. Since i replaced the hd with ssd my laptop now is 100% silent (not dead yet just silent).

    Just used this via to clean my CPU fan. Thanks! I have to say that the Acer internals are fiddly plastic crap. It's not for the faint hearted! Take pictures of each panel or use this video to remember all the screws. Be careful of the hinge anchors, they are pathetic plastic shite. I cracked mine separating the base from the keyboard bezel. Amazing that you have to disassemble the entire laptop, including resetting the CPU & GPU thermal paste just to get to the fan. I honestly thought I wouldn't get it back together but here I am.

    Hi, fan can be very dirty and not very dirty. If it is very dirty you may need to remove a everything but you don't need to take out LCD. This is a take apart video, that can give you an ability to figure out what actually you need to remove, it is pretty visible, that palmrest come out without LCD (on some laptops you need to remove LCD first and than palmrest). So, do pretty much same as in the video and you can leave LCD in the place.
    Be careful!

    Hi Emma,
    (sorry for delay)
    for just to a clean a fan - you will need to remove a palmrest (because I think fan will not be well accessible if you will remove only a keyboard) if and try out a canned air first, make sure fan blades will not rotate a lot, because it can be damaged (depend on how strong an air pressure will be)
    If this will not help, remove a motherboard and by that you will get a full access to a fan.
    if this will not help - you will need to remove a motherboard and

  • @regazzz

    It depends on how dirty is the fan/heatsink. Because if you remove a keyboard (there is no screws holding it) you will be able to access some part of a fan. It may will be enough.

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 років тому

    From my understanding, we can take the motherboard from the G (has the nVidia) and put it in our regular 5750; however, the cheapest I've seen for JUST the motherboard is about $200, then you can either re-use our i3-2310M or go for i5-2410M/i5-2520M/i5-2540M/i7-2620M, which means MORE money. AND if you do decide on the board switch, you'll need to get the 95w adapter.

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 років тому

    Hi,
    watch this video, this is only one way you can take it apart. On the other hand if this ball is metal ball, you may try to remove it with magnet (a little magnet, not a huge strong magnet)
    If you will remove a motherboard it will be pretty much the same as you trying to remove it from laptop without taking it apart, because audio jack is sitting on motherboard, unless you will replace audio jack, but this will be hard.

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 років тому

    Clean fan/heat sink and reapply thermal paste. You may need to search on UA-cam about how to apply thermal paste. There are tons of videos about that.

  • @regazzz

    it can be a little hard to remove a front bezel in order to get to a webcam... but once you will done that, you will be able to remove webcam after you unplug it from a video cable... on top over there, you will see...
    Usually all this plastic parts (front bezel for example) are pretty fragile, so if you never did this before - be triple careful...

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 років тому

    This is a cooling paste, you need to get new one to apply in CPU and GPU. Make sure you did it right too. There are some videos about that on UA-cam. Make sure you will apply it, prior you put everything back together.
    Have a good luck!

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 років тому

    You probably don't need to remove LCD, besides it is not a big deal, after you will remove everything else. Because to fix audio jack (you may need to order part to solder it) and you will need to remove a whole motherboard. Make sure you will remember where are screws coming from. Make sure you will maybe take pictures of how cables are located. You can also use this video, but as more info about how it was before will you get - less painful it will be to put it back together.

    There is no direct route for DC jack. You may will be able to remove it without removing a motherboard, but to place it back, it will be a little harder, because fingers can not fit there. Maybe with two small screwdrivers it will work, but probably better just to remove old jack and place new one.

    this video is only showing how to take it apart, that's it. At some point fan is accessible and at some other point fan is removed. Same with heatsink and any other part.
    I would say if you carefully remove everything to the point you will be able to clean fan/heatsink, if you will remember where screws coming from, if you will remember (take a picture as well) of how all cables was before you removed it, if you will use wired antistatic bracelet or/and antistatic pad. you can't just remove a bottom of a notebook. It is like a basement of a house... Unscrew, remove keyboard, palmrest and you will see some part of a fan. After that you can try to clean, but for the best cleaning you may remove a motherboard, but this is not easy if you are doing it for a first time.

    Hello, if you only remove a keyboard there will be pretty huge amount of fan available for cleaning. But it is very depend on how much dirt is inside. If there will be a huge amount of dirt - cleaning will not work well, than you will remove a palmrest and get closer, but removing palmrest on this laptop does not making better access to a fan. So, if there will be huge amount of dirt/dust build up, you may remove motherboard and remove fan.
    A lot of laptops are like that. And this is sad.

    Did I miss it, or did you not solder the new DC jack into place? If you didn't, will it still work without becoming "loose" or wiggling around? It would be awesome if I didn't have to bother soldering it since I'd have to borrow an iron, but other sources have said to solder the new jack in place...

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  12 років тому

    You can download some software, there is some free versions to check a temperature.
    Than you will see when it crashes.
    You can clean a fan/heatsink. Who knows, maybe it is dirty.
    If it is ok, you may try to use it with some cooling pad :) it will cool down the system but and you will test is it crashing or not. And if it is not crashing than it is overheat problem.
    You can also re-apply cooling compound (maybe there was not enough compound or heatsink came loose)
    Have a good luck!

    I think 12.7, but the kit should fit if it is written for 5750g.
    Yep, should be one screw!

    Hi,
    if you will watch this video, you will see that on the back you will be able to remove a little cover for hdd memory and wi fi - that's it. DVD is easy to remove. Anything else you need to remove a palmrest.

    Hi,
    if there 5750g with a better motherboard, you will probably be able to fit this motherboard in. But of course tripple check that!

    So, you didn't even opened your laptop? Glad it helped, but if there will be a huge amount of dust build up it can prevent fan from rotation.
    Anyway if it is worked for you it is great!

    Hello,
    I don't have this model in stock, sorry. I would definitely show how to if I have a laptop like that. Sorry!
    I hope you will be able to do that on your own!

    Altough it is not a big deal to remove and place lcd back, but it probably can stay. You will see if you will be able to remove motherboard or not. You can, for sure, skip some steps.
