The shot where Walker is leaning on the shield with the star upside down is one of the most beautiful shots in the entire MCU. Can't wait for more US Agent
Funnily enough, Wyatt Russell actually auditioned for Steve Rogers back when The First Avenger was casting. Knowing that and watching the series gave an interesting, almost alternate universe feel to it.
Funny how Bucky was originally Captain America's sidekick, became his own hero once he became the Winter Soldier, and then went back into being a sidekick to the new Captain America.
The most human and emotional Marvel property that I've watched in years. As a person that belongs to a family that struggled with debts, loans, and trying to get a business started, this show resonated with me on a personal level.
I wish it title changed from their original change, “Captain America and the Winter Soldier” to “Captain America and the White Wolf” and that would change Bucky from his old evil persona into his heroic character he became in Wakanda.
"I think the only way that this show could've gotten us on this character's side. Is by showing us a flashback to everything being great and then out of no where everybody starts appearing and chaos ensues." Like what Wandavision did.
This is the kind of human stuff I wanna see in this marvel universe filled with gods and cosmic level beings. I want superhero shows and movies like this, that actually care about us. That care about the hero and not the super.
Weird comparison, but this series reminded me of Pokemon Chronicles when I was a kid. It was a series about the characters after their time traveling with Ash Ketchum and gave them some much needed development. That came to mind when you mentioned how TFATWS was about Bucky and Sam when Steve wasn't around to hold this unlikely trio together.
so sad that one of the coolest and most interesting characters in this franchise gets so little screen time. Even in the movie that is ABOUT him, we see him through other people's eyes (which is not a bad thing in that context) but even when we DO get to see his life through HIS eyes, we see so little. Let's hope we'll see more of him in the future
The benefit of a 6 hour movie section explains why season 3 of daredevil is the best thing we've been given by the MCU. Imagine that season being condensed into 2 hours, dex wouldn't be a character he'd just be plot.
I think the scene that really shows just how much of the Bucky there is left to see is the scene in wakanda where she is saying the action words back to him. While he says he is past it, the tears from his eyes and his posture shows that part of him is still there. It’s a gripping scene and possibly his best performance in the show.
I absolutely loved it. Sam's arc was fantastic. Isaiah's arc was filled with sweet sorrow. Walker's arc was relatable to me and I loved it. I especially loved the scene of Walker visiting Lemar's parents. Touching, poignant and it showed his humanity.
I was legit expecting more episodes where John Walker becomes the main villain where he joins with that (hydra?) women person and gets injected with the serum and takes revenge. I legit thought when the credits rolled that there was more to come.
It feels like so much stuff was cut, which I heard was the case for Wandavision due to the pandemic, so I'm assuming it's the same thing here, and BOY does it show. John Walker gets his redemption way too early, there's no reason to feel sad for Karli's death, it just feels like a lot of stuff was cut.
I really wish John Walker would've showed up to the final battle even more insane than before. Like he's gone so far off the deep end that he's just trying to kill the Flag Smashers because, in his mind, they are the reason he lost Battlestar and the Captain America job. I think it would have been interesting to see Sam and Bucky trying to stop the Flag Smashers, while also trying to save them from Walker.
I like Walker not going full evil. He didn't take the title because he was a bad guy. A manipulated dolt is perfect, and we'll get to see the shades of grey with the Thunderbolts I'm sure.
The only thing I had a real problem with was Bucky’s apology to the old man. We barely get to see the reaction of either of them and it could’ve been one of the best scenes in the show but they just cut away when it was about to get good.
I was so disappointed with how they handled Bucky apologizing to the old man. They set it up in the first episode and waited until the finale just for a 10 second scene of Bucky being like "I killed your son. I had no choice...." and then we don't even see the old man's response or anything.
The thing that really got me in the end is when Karli gets shot, and then turns to Sam and says "Im sorry". No you're not. Sam is the ONE character throughout the whole show who has done nothing but give you second chances and each time you go on to do some wacky terrorist shit. They just make her say sorry as shes dying to try and make you feel more sympathetic for her lmao
Bucky confessing to his old friend finally putting to rest the Winter Soldier in an emotional scene Marvel: "We'll give it like 20 seconds* Sam defending terrorists Marvel: "Well we've gotta give that like 5 minutes!"
You aren’t the only one, I completely agree, karli sucked so much and I was anticipating having John walker fighting the guys again, and the finale was unexpected for sure
When reviewing this remember that it was in the middle of filming when the pandemic hit. So a lot of the things you're asking for weren't feasible. Which is also why the show is 6 episodes instead of 8. They just couldn't do things they wanted to do.
I’m implore you to check out Invincible on Amazon Prime, season 1 just ended and it’s truly unique. One of the best superhero shows of the last decade….but yeah this shows pretty good.
Spoilers but... I love how you brought up them trying so hard to get us on the villain's side. Like in the end when Sam runs over to hold her while Sharon is just sitting there bleeding out felt so weird to me.
It still bothers me that Sam Wilson didn't see the irony in saying, "look at it from their side" when he literally did the opposite with Walker: hated Walker for trying to stand for something as Captain America, never tried to help him realize the role of "Captain America" and what it meant to different people, and then never admitted to having that fault of not seeing it that way.
Don't blink or you'll miss the heartfelt confession between Bucky and Yori that was hyped up all season
The shot where Walker is leaning on the shield with the star upside down is one of the most beautiful shots in the entire MCU. Can't wait for more US Agent
“Do better Senator.” 😂😂😂
Hollywood’s answer to everything lol
The Sam and Isaiah moment hit me squarely in the feels.
Karlie: have you ever fought for something bigger than yourself?
I'm glad to see he also loves Falcon and The Snowman.
Funnily enough, Wyatt Russell actually auditioned for Steve Rogers back when The First Avenger was casting. Knowing that and watching the series gave an interesting, almost alternate universe feel to it.
This show allowed me to develop a form of fondness for Sam and Bucky that I didn't have before.
John Walker has become my favorite mcu character now.
Funny how Bucky was originally Captain America's sidekick, became his own hero once he became the Winter Soldier, and then went back into being a sidekick to the new Captain America.
"Don't call them terrorists."
"But they're terrorists."
"Yeah but don't call them that though."
The most human and emotional Marvel property that I've watched in years. As a person that belongs to a family that struggled with debts, loans, and trying to get a business started, this show resonated with me on a personal level.
appreciate Russells effort into John Walker, irrespective of the character's ending, really like his acting.
Bucky thought bubble: *murders the Starks*
I wish it title changed from their original change, “Captain America and the Winter Soldier” to “Captain America and the White Wolf” and that would change Bucky from his old evil persona into his heroic character he became in Wakanda.
Falcon's Cap suit looks much better here than in the comics.
I liked Walker. He wasn't evil, he was just a human trying to fill a superhuman's shoes.
"I think the only way that this show could've gotten us on this character's side. Is by showing us a flashback to everything being great and then out of no where everybody starts appearing and chaos ensues."
Like what Wandavision did.
Zemo being sent to the Raft and not Wakanda makes it 100% clear they're setting up Thunderbolts.
This is the kind of human stuff I wanna see in this marvel universe filled with gods and cosmic level beings. I want superhero shows and movies like this, that actually care about us. That care about the hero and not the super.
In the scene where all the reporters come up to question Sam, one of the reporters literally said "are you Captain Falcon?" 🤣
Zemo:I have no intention of leaving my work unfinished...
.
.
.
His Loyal Servant:...Boom 💥

Wait Who?!?!
The part where Sam brought Isaiah to the museum to show him the statue he got for Issah was so beautiful I almost cried.
if Wanda can walk away from torturing an entire town for weeks with an "oopsies!" then walker can bounce back from one murder lol.
The benefit of a 6 hour movie section explains why season 3 of daredevil is the best thing we've been given by the MCU. Imagine that season being condensed into 2 hours, dex wouldn't be a character he'd just be plot.
I admire a youtuber who doesn't put spoilers in their thumbnails 😒
I don't know if it was intentional or not, but Karli's behavior slowly proving Zemo's philosophy was pretty ingenious.

John walker made his shield. You must have accidentally skipped one of the credits scenes of one of the episodes. They show him making it. 😊

Joaquin should of been played by Danny Pudi they put him in the mcu and now it’s time to use him
John Walker was my favorite part of this series. Hopefully we get more of him in future MCU installments.
lagsmashers wanted the world to be the way it was after Thanos, but before the return.
I liked the scene where Sam is asked if he’s gonna stay down and he says no. It’s meant to reflect Steve’s “I can do this all day”

Marvel: "We'll give it like 20 seconds*

Sebastian Stan would have made an incredible Wolverine
You aren’t the only one, I completely agree, karli sucked so much and I was anticipating having John walker fighting the guys again, and the finale was unexpected for sure
I may be the small minority who actually enjoyed this more than WandaVision, I just felt like it was more consistent and flowed better

I love how you brought up them trying so hard to get us on the villain's side. Like in the end when Sam runs over to hold her while Sharon is just sitting there bleeding out felt so weird to me.
So, is Sharon Carter going to have a song?
Why?
Because Agatha Harkness had one.
No, I don't feel like writing one.
Fair enough.
Anyone human here? Tf?

@@Igoranaa yoooo a fellow human here
