Round 1!
TW200 vs Rowher OHV. This was my first, but definitely not my last trip out here! This place seems like it has much to offer. We only tapped 10% of it, if that.
Cheers!

Looked like you was still having fun even if you didnt get to ride the harder trails :)
ride safe and keep well mate
The black diamonds on rowher are really hard I was struggling on my Klx250s I needed more power to make it up the steep kills
Some of them definitely look crazy steep! I'll start with the least intimidating and work my way up. Come on Tdub! 😁
@@TillDeathDualUsSport let me know if you ever wanna ride Rowher. I’m going tomorrow
@@myturn9745 Awesome! I’ve been meaning to head back there!
watching this in 2020 .... I misinterpreted that first line......
Do you know anything about taking these trails as an alternate to the interstate? I want to ride from the San Joaquin valley to San Fernando
I'm not sure about that. I use the pro version of Gaia GPS with Owls Head tracks overlaid on my map of choice. It's a fantastic tool for navigating and staying on legal routes.
Nice vid brother. What day of the week was this?
Thanks! This was on a Tuesday.
Cool vid, how do you get to that lake from staging area one? Was there a way to get closer?
Thank you 😁 The road is right past the first staging area on the left side. I'm pretty sure you can ride right up to the reservoir. It was our first time there so we were just getting a feel for the place.
Here is a link to the MVUM map of the trails around Rowher to see how to get there. www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5326699.pdf Hope that helps.
@@advsquared Thanks for sharing!
Planning to get a tw200. Do I need a license to drive that trail?
You don’t need a license as long as you’re riding at a designated OHV park. Rowher is an official OHV area so no license is needed. You will need a license if you plan on riding any of your local fire roads, as those are almost always street legal vehicles only.
That was a cool spot ill have to try it.
Do you think we could get passed the gates at ITT?
I doubt it. I'm thinking about checking it out tomorrow. My rebellious days are over though, so I won't try and sneak past. I've learned my lesson the hard way, haha.
It's funny, the entrance road was fun for you but it is brutally rough for a truck, worst road I have ever ridden on. The intermidiate trails aren't bad but the black diamond trails can be very hard and the double black diamond trails are ridiculous. In the winter months the truck area has a full mud pit that would swallow up a bike, if you are into that sort of thing. No water...not good but at least it was semi-cool.
We were commenting on how nice it is to just ride in and not worry about loading and unloading! I can see how driving in would be a rough ride. We went back a few days later and tackled most of the intermediate trails. That video should be up next week 😁 The black diamond stuff definitely looked intimidating, but tempting at the same time. I'll take a raincheck on the double black, for now at least! I'm already fighting a constant battle between keeping my bike clean and riding off-road... I'll leave the mud for the non OCD riders out there 😂
Did you take the TW on the 14 and 210?
Negative. That would be one heck of a scary ride on the Tdub! I've had it on the freeway for a short distance... definitely not made for it! I trucked it to my brothers house and we rode from there 😀
Would you recommend the TW for Socal people? Since we have to get on freeways just to get to the trails. Thanks!
@@ernesto3998 I wouldn't recommend it for freeways but It definitely makes sense to own one in SoCal. The desert riding is so vast out here. The TW fits right in. A motorcycle hitch carrier is must though in my book. It really depends where you live I guess.
