Just sharing inputs...for basement...among many other important factors...its proper water proofing n sealings is must to reduce humidity levels in addition to proper ventilation rather cross ( double ) ventilation ...as pre.requisits ...regarding basement s rooms....it s very valuable concept catering high costs of electricity billings..n rooms heating / coolings in a basement is much more economical ...so for multipurpose halls...some commercial grade tiles of granite may be applied / selected as life long...n for bed rooms .. some medium range Mat finish tiles may be selected ...it will be better to go for Tiles option for a basement ..as marble s finishing / grinding / polishing etc ....involve some complications etc.......I am sharing based on my personnel experience at two own houses .......shared in sincerity ....Engr.M Riaz shahid Engg Consultant lhr
