Set in the 1950s, Happy Days followed the hijinks of the Cunningham Family, as they attempted to navigate everyday life. Upon its debut in 1970, the U.S. sitcom proved a major hit with audiences, running for a total of 11 seasons. This was not welcome news for the show's cast, however, who secretly hated each other.
Marion Ross, who played the mother Marion, revealed on The Today Show in 2018 that she didn't get along with her co-star Tom Bosley. Bosley portrayed her on-screen husband Howard, making their falling out especially awkward for the television program.
Furthermore, a more recent feud emerged between the Happy Days cast after actors Henry Winkler and Ron Howard, who played Fonzie and Richie respectively, confirmed plans for a reunion to raise money for the Wisconsin Democrats. This caused tensions to flare with Scott Baio, known for playing Chachi in the hit sitcom series, who disagreed strongly with the political nature of the reunion special.
Ron Howard and Henry Winkler currently maintain a great friendship to this day, but their initial relationship was much more frosty on the set of Happy Days. When Henry Winkler was introduced in the show's fifth season, he became an instant hit with viewers. This left Ron Howard seething with jealousy, who up to this point had been seen as the audience favorite.
The following video contains some much juicier information regarding these falling-outs, which have proven to be quite complicated situations for the actors involved. The reality of the feuds which have occurred are far from the "Happy Days" promised by the hit sitcom series.
Watch the video to learn more about what really drove these actors apart.

Ok ... take this for what it says about the veracity of the content. Especially when a simple search of IMBD contradicts certain facts, such as ...
Henry the Fonz Winkler, didn't get introduced in the 5th Season, he appeared in all 255 episodes over the entire 11 seasons "Happy Days" aired.
Ron Howard never had an issue with Henry Winkler. His issues were always with the decision makers and the direction they wanted to take the show once Fonzie became so popular.
That's not an opinion. Howard has spoken openly about this.
@@nomdeplume7537 Thank you.
Fact: Ron Howard and Henry Winkler never "hated each other". Ron cast his buddy Henry "the Fonz" in his debut film Night Shift as the lead character Chuck. Worth a watch, that one.
Winkler was introduced in the show's 5th season? Not even close. He was with the show from the beginning. That's a big difference.
Makes you wonder what else was inaccurate.
They might want to change the title of this channel. lol

Truth & facts are optional at best here. 😃This is how FV presents most of their content. Every now & then they have an exceptionally informative post, but those are few & far between. They are rapidly becoming the TMZ of YT in my opinion.
Henry Winkler is probably the sweetest man in Hollywood. Anyone who has worked with him have only nice things to say about him.
hes kind of a jerk tho outside of acting....a big sjw who wants to force vaccines
Look into henry winkler and heather O'Rourke. Then tell me how sweet he is.
No communist is sweet
Yeah, he is a nice guy as long as you are a Marxist, Commiecrat!

Ron Howard was the heart of the show. It wasn't quite the same after he and Don Most left.
Happy Days wasn't funny anymore after Ron Howard and Donny most left the show. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
@ Howard McDonald. You’re right, and also they turned Anson Williams’ character into a dope that was always being made fun of. By the fall of 1975, the show became unwatchable.
"Scott Baio's absence remained unnoticed"?
I think you meant the Happy Days Zoom meeting went unnoticed.
👏👏👏👏 🎯 💯🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yep. This is the first I've heard of it.
best reply on here
I'm afraid you're right. I didn't know about it until I saw this video.
Scott Baio has been unnoticed for close to 40 years.....Irrelevant
I saw Ron Howard interviewed. Henry Winkler was his 4 children's Godfather and guardian if something happened to him and his wife.
Yes, exactly!!
They never hated each other, and remain friends today. Neither Henry Winkler nor Ron Howard could've predicted the sudden popularity of the "Fonz" character. Ron moved on from the show, but the two remained friends.
@john oconner I concur.
Henry Winkler is the godfather of Ron howard's children. The title is false. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
they should have seen it coming, i did , really Opie thought he would be the star in that era of 1974?? absolutely not
Even though Henry Winkler had good roles in other TV shows and films, the only role he's truly recognized for is the Fonz! He's a good actor, but he can't overcome that Fonz stereotype!
He's on a show now called Barry
If Henry was type cast, to me he never said anything about it.
Henry didn’t debut in season 5. The Fonz was in Season 1 episode 1. Do a little bit of research before posting a video.
Winkler is Godfather to all of Howard's children. so much for the dislike between them
4:09 - And the video says that he was introduced in the show's fifth season. That demonstrates how shoddily this video was made. More low-quality output from this channel.
@@FerdinandCesarano I don’t like these type of videos they are put together with a lot of misinformation and some actually believe it all because it’s on you tube

Fonzie is credited as being in all 255 episodes of the series which began in 1974. Your description says the show began in 1970. Come on facts verse. Don't jump the shark with incorrect facts.

Happy days was a great show. I never knew that was so many problems behind the scenes.

Me either. Just shows they were great actors.
This is one reason many actors refuse to marry actors.
Henry Winkler was on the show from season 1. He was NOT introduced in the 5th season
May Tom bosley and Erin Moran rest in peace. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Pathetic of Ron to take Happy Days and use it for any political party.
He’s a Libtard. Expect nothing else.
So Happy Days is an extension of the Democrat Party? Except for Scott Baio
It’s Hollywood isn’t it? The entertainment industry (TV, movies, pro sports, and “news”) is nothing but a big democrat commercial.
Wow. I was VERY surprised to hear that about Tom Bosley.
Ron Howard, was always my favorite actor on Happy Days!

Henry Winkler was not introduced in the fifth season he was with the show since the beginning. Also Howard never said anything against Winkler he said he did not
Like the way the characters were changing. He was the star of the show then the creators wanted to calm it Fonzie’s Hapoy Days. He did not care for what the creators were doing but never had a problem with Winkler. Actually I agree with Howard because the show got painfully bad.

It's sad that one of the youngest stars on happy days was the only smart one out of the bunch.
Couple of crucial notes concerning this show, Don Most eventually got tired of the Ralph Malph character but never ever did anything else nearly as popular in his entire acting career. How many of those actors/actresses are there? The onscreen Fonzie and Ritchie relationship was critical to the best of the shows episodes. Although Winkler rose to become a lead and most popular character, the support from the Ron Howard character of Ritchie was sorely missed when Howard left the show. No other character could provide the support that Howard did in the storylines and thus the show suffered noticeably after that. What was once cool became corny. Even Fonzie himself. Baio, Ross, Bosley, Williams (Potsie), Moran (Joannie), every shows seemingly new character or guest star Ted McKinley, or the Jenny Piccolo character, even the several love interests Fonzie had throughout the shows existence could not provide that wholesome Howdy Doodie Thrill on Blueberry Hill Ritchie character for Fonzie. Ritchie was the educated reasoning to Fonzie's uneducated Street Punk image. Made a really good team within the show where it became apparent one without the other made the show storylines suffer. Similar to watching Andy Griffith Shows without Don Knotts. Decent still but that magic within was gone.
I agree. While Fonzie was undoubtedly my favorite character on the show, Happy Days was NOT the same without Ron Howard's Richie.
Henry Winkler and Scott Baio both had hilarious roles on Ron Howard's show Arrested Development. I'm surprised to hear there was a time they didn't get along.

My favorite Happy Days character? Of course it was the Fonz!
The fact they would use the show to raise money for any political party shows the lack of quality of the cast members
Why? Political parties should be abolished. They were only created to cause a divide between country.
The show was iconic. To have it involved in the ugly world of politics (And NO party is lily-white, so you can save the "biased" comments) is pretty disgusting.
Happy Days had a reputation for being a cool set. Not sure about this one.

I remember Ron Howard saying he didn't mind giving 90 percent of his salary to the goverment.I thought his name should have been Dopy instead of Opie.
guilty of being rich, sad.
They always say they would do that but never do. Ron sure didn't. Hypocrite POS liar.
Hey "Facts Verse" get your facts right. Henry Winkler was the run away star from Happy Days very first show s1 e1.

@J L the other characters on the show were no Einstein's either.
You got the Fonzie Richie thing wrong. Fonz was the people's star from the get go early on and the network even wanted to change the name to Fonzie's Happy Days and Henry Said NFW. The pair were always friends and Ron looked up to Henry like a big Brother
Had a crush on Joanie, so Beautiful ❤️🌹
I had heard once or twice that Tom Bosley had a chip on his shoulders because he was offered a part on Charlie's Angels and turned it down making CA people upset and that is why they named the Office Manager Bosley
I loved them all!
Hey Facts Verse :)
Most memorable show(s) I guess had to be the two part Motorcycle Jump over the 14 garbage cans. Most intense of the episodes and surprising in a way as Henry Winkler, I know he had a stunt double certainly, was really afraid of Motorcycles in real life.
Thank you for sharing! What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
My favorite Happy Days character was "Bag".
Without happy days , I believe MacGyver wouldn't have come to be , as Mr Winkler was involved in the production. My favourite character is all of the cast . But Fonzie inspired my passion for muscle cars especially the episodes where Fonzie soups up the Cunninghams DeSoto , and builds Ritchie his convertible AKA ( the love bandit ) and I believe it could be Chachi that came in on the Fifth season , as Fonzie had dialogue in the first episode , reclining on his chopper ( yes it was a chopper , later switched to the famous triumph as seen later on ) and wearing his blue linen jacket , as the leather one had yet to make an appearance. The chopper can be seen in the intro montage . The Cunningham's DeSoto also seen in the intro . Rest in peace all whom have passed , Al, Pat , Erin , Tom .
Ron Howard and Henry Winkler never hated each other. They were friends and had a mutual respect for each other.
Fonzie was the “Steve Urkel” of Happy Days although his character was first 😂. He became more popular than some of the leads which lead to resentment. They were opposites. Fonzie was cool, Urkel was cool with himself. But it didn’t matter because each loved who they were. I always liked that about both characters. Same producers of both shows. I give them credit for creating such groundbreaking and lovable characters.
Wait. The same people produced both shows? Now THAT I did NOT know!
Good for Scott im proud of him.
We absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Be safe and enjoy the rest of your evening!
I'm with Scott Baio 💯%!!! We all know darn well that were things the other way around...if the show was to make money for Trump or a republican/conservative campaign... those other actors would have had gran mal seizures and need a few months in the hospital to recover from their "trauma". 🤣🤣🤣🤣
SuryaDas, Amen to that.
not everything matters.... in hollywood does it. Scott is a good person.
Liberal Democrats are total Hypocrites
Good comment and I agree. But one thing we should remember is that these "liberals" aren't just good people with whom we disagree, they're sick people who mostly out of a love of self, money, and praise, are throwing away everything real Americans died for. These people aren't nice or funny.
@@dalehammond1704 I agree with you and Hollywood is not funny or entertaining in any way anymore. They are also just way too liberal for me.
Richie Howard also did a movie in parenthood

This reminds me of the TV show ALF. The actor who played the father hated the ALF puppet, and how long it would take the production crew to setup scenes involving America’s favorite alien.
Max wright, who played the father on Alf was a crack addict. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Fonzie was NOT introduced in 5th season... much much earlier
Why would you have a reunion to benefit a politician. It’s ok to endorse someone by yourself but have a reunion and expecting the whole cast to agree with it it actually kind of not fair to those who don’t believe in the politics.
Da Fonz: You eat sh&&t! Richie: u r my next meal, Fonzie!
Frienemys 🤣
Winkler is an extremely kind person
Ross and Bosley did On Golden Pond on stage.
I support Scott Baio and agree with him. Also, this was a fine series till Henry Winkler became so popular and then it quickly became The Fonzie Show. Every episode seemed to center around him and for me this ruined the show and I tuned out. In my opinion Hollywood needs to quit trying to tell us how we should feel and how we should live our lives.
At 0:18, why is Patty Duke shown, when there's never any relation to Marion Ross established?
Good for Scott
Fonzi was huge back in the day.
