I'm so glad I found your channel! Excellent video and I am extremely appreciative to all the questions you answered in the comment section! People asked stuff I didn't even know to think about and your answers have given me the boost in confidence I needed to not be a hot mess trying this for the first time. Thank you !
Hi Sherry, aww thanks for taking the time to comment. That's so great, it helped build your confidence. Anyone can do it, just having the right tools and some tips and tricks help along the way. All the best x
I am ordering the cake mold! You nailed this! I work for a guide dog organization and bring the employees cookies, but this is an amazing change! Love it! Subscribed!
What tip did you use I need to order piping tips your giant cupcake came out beautiful I am going to make for my granddaughter first birthday for her smash cake
Hi Sherri, glad you loved the video and found it helpful. My favourite tips are wilton or loyal 1M. They are so useful for any piping technique, and perfect for the giant cupcake. Good luck!
Hi, thanks for your comment. I use a commercial brand, that is sold in 25kg bags, so not available in retail settings. But I do like the nestle melts, aswell. They perform similarly x
What do you use for a box for this cp cake? Or what do you keep it in to stay fresh? Please anyone can answer how they keep fresh and in what? Thank you.
Where did you get the silicone top and bottom baking pans? Great idea so you can bake them for separate times. I noticed the top bakes faster than the bottom. Ty
I dunno if you would feel comfortable sharing your cake and buttercream recipe used for this giant cupcake? Or if you could direct me to a previous video if you made a tutorial on them please? I’m glad I found your channel!
Hi Jasmine, i haven't shared my buttercream recipe as of yet, but you can search lots of amazing tutorials on UA-cam for a homemade buttercream, same with the cake. We use mud cake recipes. Thanks for joining us :)
Hi, I don't yet but can make one in the future. Maybe try lowering your oven temp. I always remove the smaller top piece from the oven first too, and cook the bigger, bottom piece longer. Hope this helps :)
Hi Cara, I used 1.5 times my recipe, so it will just be a bit of trial and error until you work out how much your recipe makes, but if its extra, you can make cupcakes too x
Can I use cream cheese buttercream next to the chocolate??? Will it not melt the chocolate? And... I am using a solid case to make the shell, and I am really anxious about the final result because I am afraid the chocolate will crack or it will melt... I have ordered the mould thinking that it is going to be silicone, but... what can we do.... shopping on the internet...
Hi, yes you can use cream cheese buttercream in the filling layers inside, as long as it is kept in the fridge until 2 hours before serving. It shouldn't crack if the base is thick enough, or melt unless it gets too hot. Mine has never melt in Melbourne. Hopefully you get a silicone one, they are the best. Good luck :)
@@katematheson Thank you so much for answering my question! I finished my giant cupcake cake and it was amazing!!! I had troubles getting it out of the metallic mold, but it didn’t crack or anything! I used simple buttercream because I was so afraid it will melt the chocolate. It was so beautiful! I would put a picture here but I don’t know how.
Is there a certain recipe you use? Or can you use two cake boxes? Do you have to put pudding in the cake box mix? I saw some other people recommend that?
Hi, I am working on a video with recipes for this mould. You can use any cake recipe however or a box cake if you prefer that. I am not sure what to add to the box mixes, sorry. I have seen people recommend that, but I haven't tried it. Good luck with it,
Hi, it might be overheated. I recommend Nestle White Choc melts, they melt really well. If it is too thick, you can add a touch of vegetable oil to thin it down a little bit. But just ensure you are stirring a lot inbetween heating, to ensure it doesn't burn. Hope this helps
Any will be fine, you can use compound chocolate, which you don't have to temper, or couverture chocolate which you can temper. Whichever you are comfortable with
I've owned this mould for so many years but I've been too scared to use it. Do you have a recipe for this size mould please? Or even just the amount of batter you would use for each part of the mould? X
I will work on this over the next few months for you. I am not exactly sure on the batter, as we make huge bowls at work and just pour each tin. Will do some testing :)

Esse cupcake está extremamente frágil para transportar considerando que a massa assada ficou menor que o chocolate deixado um espaço vazio entre a massa e o chocolate branco.
Gracias por el consejo! Translation: This cupcake is extremely fragile to transport considering that the baked dough was smaller than the chocolate, leaving an empty space between the dough and the white chocolate.
Hi Elicia, I'd recommend keeping it it in the fridge up to an hour before serving, so just let the customer know to keep it in the fridge so it doesn't melt
This is a great video. Love the chocolate base idea. Way better than trying to ice it. Tfs!!!
Thank you x

Looks fantastic, definitely going to try this for my daughters birthday. I’ve had this mould for over a year and never used it. Great video 👍🏻

Very cute! Can you share which white chocolate you used? It melted nicely and stayed white!

Hello, thanks for the video. Do you use just melted chocolate for the mold or is it ganache i.e chocolate + cream?
Omg! I did this and it was a hit!
Awesome! :)

Hey. Do you have a video of how you made the giant cupcake and buttercream? Mine always turns out hard
Hi, I don't yet but can make one in the future. Maybe try lowering your oven temp. I always remove the smaller top piece from the oven first too, and cook the bigger, bottom piece longer. Hope this helps :)
Is this normal white chocolate or cooking white chocolate?
Hi Becca, I recommend using a compound chocolate, so you don't need to temper it like Nestle White Choc Melts.
Hello, I wondered what measurements you used for the cake batter? I’m a bit unsure how much I will need for mine x
Hi Cara, I used 1.5 times my recipe, so it will just be a bit of trial and error until you work out how much your recipe makes, but if its extra, you can make cupcakes too x
Hi, may you tell what is your recipe please ?
Got this mould haven’t used it yours fab😄 we’re u based? X
Thank you. We are in Point Cook, Melbourne.

How much grams of chocolate did u use for this thanx.
Probably around 400g-600g, but I can test this out and make a future video :)
What size cake board did you use?
Exactly the question I have, lol
Hi, it was either a 7 inch or 8 inch round :)
I purchase all my boards from Boxxd Packaging

My chocolate does not melt and pour like yours. What am I doing wrong??

What kind of white chocolate did you use?
We use Nestle Snowcap :)
How many does this feed
15 servings
Can you use any white chocolate for this? Or does it have to be specific brand? X
Any will be fine, you can use compound chocolate, which you don't have to temper, or couverture chocolate which you can temper. Whichever you are comfortable with
That looks amazing. I brought the tin version and now I'm kicking myself I can't make the chocolate shell.
Aww no! You can still make an epic buttercream one :)
I have the tin version too. I just removed the cake, chill it, melt chocolate, pour over super cold cake, and still works! Like a mirror glaze!
Why not coat the outside of the base instead of inside? Then you don't have to trim the cake.

Do you ever worry about your chocolate melting when giving this to a customer?
Hi Elicia, I'd recommend keeping it it in the fridge up to an hour before serving, so just let the customer know to keep it in the fridge so it doesn't melt
