I wonder how many people now going budget room s to counter the rip off flights ✈️ 🤔🤔🤔🤔 it's actually shocked me how good this cheap accommodation is thanks daz far opening me eyes 💯👌
Hi Daz, again you are correct. 7000/ month makes all the difference. I was looking at rentals either an apartment or condo and found a beautiful little place (I’ve always lived small) 2 minute walk to the beach in Jomtien for you guessed it 7000/ month. Full bath with enclosed shower, balcony, mattress with soft topper and a kitchen with cooking hob microwave and a big refrigerator on the top floor. I love it. I’m paying for the year in advance so they removed the 2 months security. Thanks Daz for all your hard work on your videos. I get the keys on Monday!
Well, another top vlog off Darren, this guy is head and shoulders above others I have seen on Pattaya, no silly music, great conversation that is clear and always unbiased, covers off all budgets and not like some where you know they are being sponsored and just saying it’s good for the benefit, if it’s good he says so, if it’s not he says so. One major point for me is whenever he takes you to a venue, hotel or tourist trap he videos everything, nice wide angle and for me, an amputee, it’s great to see all the possible hazards, it says on lots of sites there is a hotel and I have been caught out in the past, Darren shows you, great stuff. The first place for the price and location is amazing. Well done Darren, fab as usual 👍
Cool Daz, the first seems nice because elevator and high floor, well located, frankly for the price you have to be difficult to complain, for those who like luxury it can at a pinch be used as an apartment to meet girls without exposing the main
I like the first condo but the second condo place is a no go. The third condo place first round show is doable but the second condo room I would pass up. First condo you showed us is an exceptional value for beginners. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😎
I should re-join the patreon, possibly. It was interesting messaging a little on there. Also, the uncut walking street tours with music blaring was entertaining. And only $5/month is a good deal. Thanks for these budget apartment videos. Super helpful to see the prices, locations and room tours. I like how its all furnished.
Very great prices Daz. I really like all of them, I also think they would be good to Rent for a few months or a year and really take my time deciding on another place to permanently call home. I think the last one is my fave The elevator and balcony were the deciding factors. I have good investments savings and a pension when I move there the rent will be a nominal bill, UNLIKE my overpriced home country.
Thanks Daz, for your hard work. Good to know about these for those of us on a keen budget, like you said. ;-) or you could stay here while seeking a longer term place. Take good care friend
Hi daz, Super video and information. Not for everyone obviously, but if you are on a limited budget, and wanted to spend the Winter in Thailand, well worth thinking about.
6000 baht with a balcony in a not to bad location. How can you go wrong. Very near Big c not a million miles away from the bus station walking distance to soi buakow or very near baht bus route direction beech . Excellent Excellent
Hi Daz! All three would be ok for the money. My personal preference was the 1st one, based on close proximity to Big C. I'm sure even the 7,500 monthly would be negotiable for longer stays 👍
That first place was incredible value for 7.5-9.5k You could live comfortably with everything you need if you rented that place and only spend $1,000 USD per month. That’s absolutely insane to imagine with the cost of living in the west. You’d get a slum unit and Kraft dinner and mr noodles for every meal and likely spend more then that in the west
1 3 2 would be my preference. 1 nice place with a big C next door handy for people with no vehicle and a short walk to bukhao and second road or cheap bolt.
All 3 are good options. The location is great. The staff seem very nice. I'm sure in a normal high season these would not be available because of the reasonable prices. Thanks for the video.
Hey daz , great video into the lower end of the market , the first one looked okay , the other 2 not so much , but for the price , what do you expect , personally I hate the hard beds in the cheaper hotels and condos , great work daz , how about you do a video of the really high end market , I have stayed in a couple of them in the past , dusit and amari , It would be good to see what you get if you just come for a couple of weeks and want a bit of luxury 🙏
Seems like iCon Place rents out like an Air B&B so they are bit greedy, plus being next to 2 major roads, its not a great location, you will hear traffic day and night 7 days a week. The last place is best, but if you are going to stay long term a good Mattress investment is worthwhile, health or see you wealth disappear. Excellent video Daz as always
Informative as always heading back out in February would love to see the same kind of video in Jomtien (I know you have done them previously) but this time close to Soi 7 / Rompho market for comparison would be greatly appreciated….Love the channel 👍🏻
I am a new subscriber and I enjoy all of your videos especially the rentals.. the first video you showed there was a restaurant at the bottom and I wish you would just take the camera and show us the menu prices and that would help a lot on how we would budget.. also when you're out and about if you would show menu prices and the street food prices that would help a lot also for us to budget and know what to expect after we arrive.. thanks for all the videos they are enjoyable and informative 👍👍😃🙏😁🍺🍻🤗😎
I'd budget for around the 15k baht price range but these are definitely great backup options if something goes wrong and you need to cut back expenses.
Great video as usual. I know you hate the idea of buying a condo but like myself having lived in Pattaya and loved it and will return to live forever; I always price the rent over 20 years (possibly my entire life) and I found if you pay over 5K baht per month you will end up paying over 1,200,000 baht over your life and live in a minimal room paying high electric and water bills. Of course we know that 5K is low and will most likely be raised during high season and if your lease happens to come up during high season. I will be limited for sure with money especially if inflation continues. What’s your opinion about long term living when you look at the expenses as I pointed out. Thanks for all the work you do to help us. 👍🏼
Make sure you buy a proper mattress my friend or you will be going to the doctors. A proper mattress would be 3 to 6 months rent but will assure you good health and saving your wealth on the long run, this might make sense if you plan to live in one of these places very long term, dont think the landlord would get excited to buy you one though.
Hi Daz, I am in Bangkok for the first time, thanks to vloggers like you. I just spent 1 month in the Philippines and had a great time. I will be in Pattaya in 1 week. Where do you recommend I stay for about $40 - $50 a night.

I remember watching one of your vlogs on a condo complex in Jomtien with a huge rectangular pool with an island in the middle. Unfortunately, having trawled your back catalogue I can't find it again. Can you tell me the name so I can go there in persom. Many thanks

I am a single guy aged 49 who is moving down to Pattaya permanently, the question is, can I have an address there? I will rent for a year at a time and extend, does this price include internet wifi?
There’s one common denominator that’s critical, and it applies from 5K to 55K per month. How engaging and interested are the staff.? Good owners pay well to get good people. When you are living there it’s the staff who make the real difference. Because a Condo is a Condo no matter where it is or what you pay 🙂

There’s one common denominator that’s critical, and it applies from 5K to 55K per month. How engaging and interested are the staff.? Good owners pay well to get good people. When you are living there it’s the staff who make the real difference. Because a Condo is a Condo no matter where it is or what you pay 🙂
The first condo had a real friendly feel to it in my opinion...😊
