When I hear the "Steel is too heavy" talking point, it's true. It's steel. If your wearing a steel plate, your not planning on running a marathon. If this is on, your hunkered down and ready to make contact. Anti spalling DIY is capable. A couple of dry kevlar sheets, carefully laid with some wicked awesome black Gorilla tape works. Just overlap the edges and centermass. Ceramic : 2 close proximity shots equal a bad day. Weight: Awesome. Great Video BTW. Looking forward to more. Stay Rad!
I'm not a big fan of steel. It's very heavy for the protection it provides and the spall issue is not a trivial thing. Still, if you're going to go with steel, I'd say this one sucks far less than most others!🤣 That's as close to high praise as I can give steel! The multi-curve feature is nice and one that people are only starting to appreciate the value of.
You make valid points. However, the anti-spall technology that these companies are developing are proving to work very well. Better than I'd ever expect.
Eight minutes and eight seconds of advertising for CA. 🙄 Yes, I watched it, but only because I was curious as to the details of this plate. 8+ pounds per plate is too much for my small statured body. Yes, I'm in good physical condition, but the last time I wore a combined nearly 16 pounds, plus my additional gear was during a training exercise on Missouri plainlands with rolling hills and patrols up some steep 30-ish degree incline gravel road. That was literally the last time I decided to wear my Hesco 4401 Level IV poly plates. I'm now hunting for a lighter replacement.
I have a larger frame so the 8-9 pound plates don't bother me with steel. What I do like however is the capability for repeat hits if necessary. It's not 2 hits a d shatter like some ceramics

Ordered 2 yesterday while they were still on sale for the Holiday. $$119.96 per plate. Looking forward to putting them in my Carrier.
Thank you for your order!
Do you put that one on the back of the vest too?
Yes. Front and rear.
Whats your plate carrier name?

Do these stop 300 blackout?
These plates are rated for M855 ball ammo. 300 blackout is a much heavier bullet but it is much slower. This will stop 300 blackout
Had one on for 10 minutes and I’m gonna tell you they are heavy
Yeah, they are not made for comfort. But they sure do work for the intended purpose.

Curve steel is more comfortable tan flat steel.
