How come the doctor didn't mention a PSMA PET scan with either Florine 18 or Gallium 68 which detects malignant tumors in the prostate? This noninvasive test is used in Europe to decide the need for a biopsy. Just the opposite in the US because Heath Care providers, including Medicare won't pay for the test unless a biopsy is done first. It's all about the money

I had a 3.1 PSA when diagnosed with a high risk advanced prostate cancer. How do you explain that?

Whatever you do, don’t get a MRI omg What’s the big deal with the MRI? Why don’t people get them?

Insurance DOES cover MRI with and without contrast if you have ORIGINAL Medicare! (Dis)Advantage Medicare İnsurance ALWAYS restrict and decide for you, taking the decision out of the patient and doctors’ hands!! You may as well move to an authoritarian country like Russia, China, North Korea for that kind of treatment. Or have a life threatening pregnancy in AL, TN or TX. So
      SHAMEFUL!

I think doctors jump to treatment is to put money in their back pockets.
