Jin said he told Chris about having to take a break because of military enlistment & he said he wished he could do a song before we went. Chris sent him the Astronaut. I don’t think this was planned, just a result of a conversation between friends. When they did Festa Jin even said he’ll be last to release music knowing he was going into the military in a few months. However before Festa, BTS were at the White House in DC & Coldplay was in town the same time. We know they had dinner together because of a video Hobi posted where you can just see Chris in the background. I suspect that’s when Jin told Chris. They filmed Festa right after that DC trip. So sometime between Festa filming and Busan when Jin announced the song, Chris wrote (&Jin since he did some writing on it) & sent/got in touch with Jin, recorded & mapped out a marketing and production strategy, in about four months. That’s a testament to their relationship & respect but also their hard work where their goal wasn’t to have a hit song, but came from Jin’s wish to give something to ARMY. And Chris understood, respected, and helped.

This is one of the best colabs and that is why it has been nominated for a Grammy 2023. Not only this one but also for the best music,yet to come was nominated. They didn't win in the past 2 years but we will never stop supporting them. As they say third times a charm.💜💜💜💜💜armyforlife
Nobody expected it, not even themselves, but they have made a most beautiful friendship, there were some programs that belittled the work of BTS in front of Chis and his band when they were interviewed... The Coldplay guys did not like the no hints at all and they stood up for BTS, Chris even mentioned that BTS has made more records in less time than them and they will work hard, Chirs is one of them who stands up for them the most and he said it reminds them of when they started and no one believed Coldplay would be successful that is why they identify a lot with them, he also said that he regrets people's prejudices because BTS is a great group and the boys are like children that he wants to defend and he will do it whenever he can, a love has really been forged between them and for That's why he wrote the song for Jin and invited him to premiere the song in Argentina. I am happy that they have a sincere affection because both bands are the best, not only because of the quality of the music, but because they are all very humble and have sweet charisma.
A little detail about playing Butter for Chris: he visited SK in April 2021 and it was released in May. He got to hear it before the rest of us! ... Also, Jin was the "someone" who suggested to Coldplay that BTS wanted to collab sometime. ... Maybe you've already made your reaction video for The Astronaut, but if not, I suggest the channel "Enjoy BTS more" for the Buenos Aires concert. The video has Chris's sweet introduction and subtitles for that and the song.

Yeah I remember they did the cover to Fix You, I kinda knew then that they had to be fans of Coldplay. That’s not a song you just randomly cover. This is such a beautiful friendship, it makes me emotional honestly. We need more togetherness and friendship in the world 💜

this collab is great and birthed a really beautiful and genuine friendship between the two bands and i'm glad the members now have seniors with so much experience that they can trust and get advice from, it's even evident in the way they trusted chris with telling him about the enlistment months before anyone else knew 💜 in your jin video it would be great if you check out the speech chris did before he introduced jin for his the astronaut performance in their concert even if you don't check the performance itself
💜 BTS's songs feel even more special to me after I hear them talk about it. Or I watch a "Behind The Scenes" or see the passion they put into their live performances. It all makes the songs resonate in your heart. Even songs I had no interest in early on have grown on me & are in my daily playlist. BTS just has that once in a lifetime power. This song is really special & is my favorite collaboration from the sound, lyrics, video, to the friendship. 💜
