As a kid doing 3D in my basement growing up eventually becoming a 3D artist, for fun, doing tutorial after tutorial and learning how to do passes, and lighting, and composition, modelling, animating, rigging, UV maps I mean THIS, THIS suite of tools BLOWS MY MIND, soon all you'll have to do is tell the program what shot you want and BOOM, millions of dollars and hundreds of HOURS done in a FRACTION of both time and COST, this is INSANE!!!!.....
Really fantastic stuff. However, the matte is not clean enough for my liking. I think I'd manage the keying on my own then export a footage with transparency. Would that work better? I'd have to test it all.
Creating a normal map for real footage is crazy
OH MY!!! Normal maps and Depth maps from Video?? 3D layers from 2D video??? The possibilities are endless with that kind of data.

Nope, I think 3D jobs will incorporate this stuff in their workflow, 3D is a complex job, and studios needs specialists.
