- Tonight I welcome special guest Nancy "The Nose" Fraley for an exclusive blind tasting of some samples that Nancy sent along. What did she send?
This is what she posted...."I'm having him taste through 10 samples of Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend Bourbon batch #1 through the most current batch #323. This will be the first time anyone (besides me) has ever tasted through this range of Jos. Magnus Cigar Blends in order to observe the evolution of these blends over time. See you there! 😍🎸🥃"
Plus we will be doing a bottle fundraiser for Lifeline of Ohio! Donations support a variety of programs and services that help donor families, educate the community, and improve the donation process like bereavement services, donor memorials, community outreach and donation costs. It's not about the whiskey, it's the people you share it with!

Hey everyone, Master Blender Nancy Fraley here. I realize that I misspoke about the youngest ages of the Bourbons in the current JMCB coupes, starting around #280. I said that they are 8 years old, but I meant 10 YEARS OLD. I didn't realize I had said that until I watched the episode. Just wanted to clarify that. Cheers! 🥃
It so cool you like brandy cause I do as well. Do you like Calvados?
@@numanuma20 Yes, I absolutely love Calvado!
I had batch 128 and to think people thought it was 4 years is crazy lol laughable actually good to hear from Nancy always refreshing To hear from someone with experience and knowledge to back it up...great stream Jason
Missed the stream but this is absolutely awesome. Nancy is a legend & props to you for getting her on the channel.
This was very, very cool! Thanks Jason & Nancy for sharing the experience live. I have batches 121 and 228, and have heard that after batch 250ish they were returning to the original recipe. So glad that both Nancy's expertise and your palate confirmed this! Time to find the Fat Kid Batch!
School was in session, well done as always Nancy and Jason!
Missed the live, but I HAD to watch it...and LOVED it!
This was one of the best live streams! Nancy the Legend! I trust your reviews too Jason, and always research before I try something new. Looking forward to expanding into Armagnac.
As a follow up, I didn't catch the names of the Armagnacs that Nancy recommended. And living in a control state, is there any store online that I can grab a few to start?
@@SweetTea1987brandy is so good.
Nice to see you pick #1 a bottle i got a little while back 226 and i have 227 which i assume is along the same mix just awaiting a certain occasion to open them. From the sounds of it's still a buy going forward. Thanks for this
Jason is having fun. Man 10 JM CB high proof was so waiting for a fall.
Great show last night! Heading to Columbus soon, hope to find a few decent liquor stores to shop at. Any recommendations?

Did Nancy have her hand in the Murray Hill blend ?
Catching up on the live stream, great content as always. thanks to @whiskeyblenderfraley4235 for all the detail and transparency, truly nice to see. I found my bottle, batch #217. I found tasting notes on the Magnus site, but they stop at Batch 212. Just curious, does anyone know why?
@scottabert5015, Master Blender Nancy Fraley here. Don't know if you remember seeing where I discussed this in the episode, but it takes me about 8 hours just to write the tasting notes for 6 batches. Between some health issues, work, and just regular life, it's often hard for me to find time to write them. Hope this helps. I'd really like to start writing them again soon.
You are simply the best. I can’t tell you how much respect we all have for your professionalism and commitment. Thank you for all the hard work. @@whiskeyblenderfraley4235
