The Incredible Twisting Rapids Of British Columbia | Canada Over The Edge
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- From the contours of the Fraser Canyon to the open waters of the Pacific, British Columbia's lower mainland is an amazing coastal journey. Starting off at Hell’s Gate, a dangerous stretch of Fraser Rapids, over 760 million liters of water a minute is forced through a narrow opening in the jagged banks of the river. Today, the river rushes through this 80 km stretch of rugged, yet beautiful terrain. For centuries the canyon walls were an obstacle for settlers in connecting Canada coast to coast. However, in the 1950s and 60s, highway tunnels were blasted to complete the Trans Canada Highway, creating some of North America's longest tunnels.

I watch several YoiTuber's from B.C. and have seen some of the BEAUTIFUL Provincial and National parks as well as some of the back country logging areas through their videos. There is something that draws me to that area that draws me like a moth to a flame. I'm a Florida born native so the mountains were something I'e not seen much of in my lifetime. Its a dream of mine to one day explore the entire B.C. coastal areas just to see some of those lush areas with my own eyes. I'm shocked at the number of free camping areas in such beautiful places! Thank you for all the arial views! They helped me orient some of the places I've seen on the other UA-cam channels. Your videography is wonderful!
You won't regret it!
I hope your fortunate enough to one day travel to this area. Years ago, I drove semi through the Fraser Canyon and every time I thought "and they pay me to do this?". Pictures and videos can never provide the "experience" of being almost overwhelmed with nature's majesty in places like this or the Grand Canyon.
Shout them out. Who are the UA-camrs?
Most heartwarming. One of the very beautiful states in the world.
I spent two years in Zeballos. Incredible landscape.
Thanks for such unusual interesting documentary.
Wonderful video 😊
9:22, some great twisties over that mountaintop.
thank for video. I miss BC!
Awesome!!!👍😎🇨🇦
Best way to enjoy it. Incredibly expensive.
Video sharing perfect
Left out a huge chunk of BC …. roughly 2/3s
Bless up
Its a shame this is only 1080P 😒😒
Hope and Yale are north of San Francisco and West of Chicago. The narration has it backwards. There are no towns west of San Francisco. The person who wrote it, is a dope head. And Chilliwack is more Southwest of Hope then South. The Fraser River actually makes a 90 degree turn at Hope. The person who wrote this needs to get a map.
My sister works at Westshore.
I know I live in one of the most special places ;)

Awesome video! thank you. Just a note for the beautiful Canadian lass (from historic park) that is speaking (and i know will read this)... You need to work on your cute Canadian accent... Say things like aboot and stuff... That's what people want from Canadians... That, and super utlra friendliness... But she did excellent never the less.
Aboot isn't part of the Canadian accent for almost all Canadians and some are not even aware a few say this. I'm 65 and have never heard anyone say aboot. BC as well as all the other regions of Canada have their own accents and colloquiums'. Besides all that, we don't need to act like Canadians because we are all truly authentic Canadians. Being polite and authentic to who we are is the core of Canadian culture and what you want from us won't dictate how we express our authentic Canadian culture. We don't wear it on our sleeve but we do take great pride in being Canadian.
@@Theodorussfo ... That's the other thing canadians no longer have, a good sense of humor...
@@curly__3 Oh, I see now. your first post was one of humour like the stereotype of a cartoon caricature of the arrogant American asking for an American cartoon caricature of a Canadian. Humour is so hard to put into writing. Bless your heart.
and im in saskatchewan
AJSTLN..
BC truly is gorgeous. Too bad about the current government and living conditions :/
DO THE BRITISH STILL OWN BRITISH COLUMBIA ?
No, British Columbia is a Canadian province.
Canadians with roots here are slowly being pushed out of their communities unfortunately , that's the sick truth of it. My grand parents and their parents opened up this area and now we are slowly loosing it thanks to government Lunacy . Land developers buy land from Canadians and then sell to foreigners . And foreign, as in, no cultural ties to English , French , or 1st. Nations people who built this great county . Its high time to rethink what is happening here.
We the people of British Columbia do not call it such. We call it BC. It stands for "Bring Cash"! Vancouver is owned by the Tri-ad. There is a youtube short describing this.
I think America does now.
BC citizens ...send emails to EBY voicing your disgust with his failure to look after our wellbeing and financial security...let the leftist trudope guided ndp provincial authorities that you do not need any more taxation...BC with its 7+5 percent on virtually every purchase is more than enough ...Alberta our neighbors are content with 5 percent tax ..why such greed in BC ??? is the government more interested in fattening their pockets over allowing the citizens to enjoy more of their earnings. EBY is unconcerned with we our wishes...while other Canadian Premiers are drawing the line in the sand favoring the well fare of their constituents over the rot and incompetence of the federal regime.
Sponsored by the conservatives I see
