Not gonna lie. One of my least favorite ones of his. I find the beat INCREDIBLY wack. Flow wack. I don't even know what this sh!t is tbh lol. I listen to ALL types of music, all genres, from Jazz to experimental to dance to rock etc (but I'm a 90's HipHop head at heart)...... this is the type of sh!t I just can't rock with. Sounds like an early 2000's type of track. Early 2000's was the worst era of HipHop for me. I almost fell out of love with HipHop in the 2000's. Lyrics were completely dumbed down, beats turned wack. This sounds like something from that era. I just don't get it... Sounds awful to me. It's not that it's a love song or anything... I rock with a good love song once in a while. Anyone else think the 2000's was the worst decade of HipHop? It can't just be me...
Interesting....all my favourite (HipHop) albums come from the 90's, 2010's and beyond. Even my favourite rappers were putting out wack sh!t in the 2000's. I hated 95% of it. I dunno. But Ive heard you're argument more often than not.
I must add, late seventies thru mid-eighties rap sucks too but almost all genres aren't very good before they get perfected . Think early rock before perfection in the late sixties thru seventies.
Jay vs Nas was early 2000s. Stillmatic was early 2000s, 50 cent get rich or die trying , freeway, beanie Sigel, outkast dropped Speaker box/love below, Kanye first Album, Styles p " a gangsta and a gentleman" or "time is money" ,Jadakiss kiss of death , Common "Be" ... I can keep going ... It was a lot more music than Chingy and nelly !
I love this track. The beat is a bop and lyrically it's honest and introspective. The contrast between an upbeat instrumental and the regretful tone of the song makes it unique compared to what you would get from a typical commercial track.
I kept telling you! I agree a lot of people overlook this one but I dig it. Harry's at his best when he's most honest imo.
I agree, his beat work is when he speaking his truth ! 💯
Harry can hit on any style, between all these recent drops he has something for everyone 🔥
This is one of his most slept on tracks. The beat is fire!
💯💯💯
I really like this track. He subverted the whole Drake/Jack Harlow style of rap by going deep on the same subject matter without being preachy.
Fire reaction man 🔥
🙏🏽
I'm with you bruh. I enjoyed it.
💯

There Are So Many Classic Album's That Was Birthed In The 2000s

Early 2000's hip hop sucked. Neptunes produced beats, Chingy, Nelly. The funny thing is it was never more popular.
I must add, late seventies thru mid-eighties rap sucks too but almost all genres aren't very good before they get perfected . Think early rock before perfection in the late sixties thru seventies.

I think this is one of those where you either Love it or Hate it.
I thought the same thing with the contrast of the beat and the lyrics, makes the song all the more genius 🔥
