I read this comment as "Imagine if God walked into church and saw this." Now THAT would be something.
“The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims.”
I hope whatever comes after us remembers us well.
God imagine walking into a church and seeing this
At first I thought you said “imagine God waking into a church and seeing this”
It is about a Tasmanian tiger. The second and third are told from the perspective of a Dodo and a Panamanian gold frog, respectively, all being the last remnant of their species.
thanks fan
The golden frog isn't actually extinct! We've had great success keeping them alive and breeding in captivity. The last one seen in the wild was in 2006, however we have over 500+ thriving in zoos in Pananma and the San Diego Zoo. The fungus that killed off their population is still too great of a threat to release them just yet but they live on!
@@slithra227 OP misspoke, the song is actually about the Golden Toad, not the Panamanian Golden Frog. The Golden Toad's last sighting was in 1989, and they've been declared extinct since 2004.
First one is of the thylacine!
Always makes me cry
Glad to see I'm not the only one
There are several songs by TMG that I much prefer live. This is my favorite version of this song, If I could I would buy high quality versions of those recordings.
Their music means so much to me.
Harrowing beautiful! What drives him to write such SAD songs... with such beauty.
The guitar during the credits sounds like Mole. I wish they did that during this session too.
YES thank you for putting this up! This is, my hand to god, my favourite fucking version of this song.
Thanks for the upload, y'all
i love (1) man
He might look like markiplier but my god he’s like a modern bob Dylan.
Today I found out that scientists are going to try to resurrect the Tasmanian tiger. Maybe it won't be no more after him, after all.
the thumbnail for this video always makes me expect a pantera cover.
I love this song, one of my favorites from the The Life Of The World To Come. Yes I'm a mountain goats freak.
wow, is there a live version of "mole" in this format as well? I can't find one..
me neither!
Hi Joel.
Someday there will be a last human, a human endling, and they will be alone in their last hour. Then noone will remember them. Noone will remeber humans ever existed.
Thats what we do to every animal we cause to go extinct.
Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
