Because pictures are never good. There slabs lot difference you cant see with eyes or when its cambria and stuff in white with tiny lines that always comes plain white in slab smith even though they have lots of veins .

Its useful if the fabricator has a digital template system. They can over the digital template over the slab and see what the countertops will look like before cutting@@ziyamanson

I don't see how this can save on work, it's a lot of labor intensive to scan every slab! We can do exactly the same these days with autocad and a good camera. and on plain colors it's a waste of time, on patterned for vein matching a good saw operator can do the same 😅
