Thanks so .much for sharing your 5 days with us... I'm too old to go on an adventure of this scale anymore and so enjoyed every minute watching, walking and riding with you. As an archer of 45 years, with my share of stories of both sucesses and failures, I commend you on knowing your limits and sticking to them... rest assured that if you stick with it, there will come a time when all will come together, and you will collect your trophy... with no regrets!! The thing I learned as an archer in the midst of the explosion of technology that produced marvelous bows and the great six wheelers, tho I'm partial to 8- wheel Argos, is you can plug in anywhere from making your own equipment including obsidian arrow heads to the very latest gadgets and technologies... there is room for all kinds. The hard part is knowing yourself and your equipment and it looks like you have that under control!! All the very best to you and your partners... straight shooting and happy trails! Thanks again.
@@allenperrott6649 I’m very glad you were able to see my video thanks for all the advice and I’ll keep trying till I shoot something with my bow im not gonna give up
@PavlusOutdoors then why did you poke the moose in the quarter with an arrow. You should try to atleast pretend to be an ethical hunter if you are going to post shit like this on youtube.
@@larrycroft4545 it was not in the quarter i hit right behind the quarter and i hit a rib thats why it didnt penetrate I literally ruined no meat it just cut a little bit of skin
Apparently you haven’t hunted in Alaska. They are a main mode of transportation. The country is so large that without them or some other form you’d spend 90% of your hunt just trying to get to your hunting area. Any place close to a road system has way too many hunters. Most of the time we would ride 20-30 miles into the back country on trails to get away from other people.
@@markdoyle3071 I have no problem with getting into the back country on the ATV , after try going on foot and use your hunting skills and big binoculars to cover the ground , by riding everywhere you just pound the trails and before long more hunters fallow on the well built trail systems being created ...I agree with getting as close to a downed moose to recover your kills
This type of hunting activity gives hunting a bad name. In the are I'm from they have legislated no wheels in the water. It may be coming to your jurisdiction as well.
Then stay in your own east coast state we don't need city slicker green horns like you in Alaska who believe hunting with 10 mm handguns for brown bear is normal
I cant even comment on the ATVs/cutting trees in this environment....sad. i shouldnt have watched. Ive been to AK for Caribou/Moose and have no idea they allowed this, or should.
Nice video and so lucky to be traveling that area looks good for moose everywhere you go 👍
@@Thenorthwest867 thank you, it took us years and years of scouting till we found this area and it paid off
Why would you shoot that bull with a bow after it was already dead!
To highlight the almost ZERO penetration.

Good job guys wish I had that area in my back yard.
Nicely done boys
Good job! Bring me some of those moose sticks 😂
Two things no penatrashion and 50 yards with the a good bow lol at 50 it looks to me it would have run away with the arrow sorry
Brown tines?is that one inch of penetration at 5 yards
@@ajstaining did you see me draw my bow?
Be a man Pack it out should be no quads allowed like the old days Beautiful place 👍👍
Yes pack it out
Second bull does not have five brow tines on its left antler in my opinion. I see three brows with two in the bay. Either way; it’s a beautiful bull.

It's right by that big rock🪨.... you can't miss it!
You better hope ADFG doesn't see this. The short nub on the brow tine is not legal. Has to be longer than wider at the base. Check the game book
