I absolutely agree with you that car manufacturers do R&D & recommend products.
I own BS4 Alto 800 cng whose recommended engine oil grade is 5w30 but none of the authorised service centre put 0w20 oil. I asked about it to service advisors then they are saying that company is sending 0w20 oil so we have no other option other than to put 0w20.
I feel that 0w20 oil is only good for local city rides & not on highways as engine performs rough also the engine is noisy.
So this time I did the service from gomechanic where they used mobil 5w30 which I feel is far better as engine noise has reduced.
The only thing which I want to check that how much difference in mileage has happened due to slightly thick oil

Showroom me kya grade ka oil dalte hain use aapne dekhna hai? Purana oil adha nikalkar aadha Naya oil dalte hain yaa nahi AAP dekhte hain?😂

Yes you are right, but jab bhi Mera dealer Oil dalta Hai To muje bulata h samne nikalta hai or new open Kar k dalta hai, bas aapko kaam karwana ana chahiye 👍
