Celebrated Swedish pop duo Rebecca & Fiona invites you to leave the dullness of everyday life behind. Following singles Need You, Fool’s Gold and Different, their third studio album Art of Being A Girl is released. The album’s ten tracks are equally inspired by emotional detachment as the big feelings that can follow breaking up from what holds you back.
The release comes a year after leaving their major record company and four years after previous hit album Beauty is Pain. The new album is as much a celebration of emotional self-expression as a kick in the ass towards today’s calculated society and music industry, mixing lo-fi electro loops and dirty club beats with high pitched pop choruses. Art of Being a Girl is written by Rebecca Scheja and Fiona FitzPatrick themselves and produced in collaboration with Nibla, featuring guests like Derek Pope, Marcy Chin and Skander.
