Maybe at this point, they should install advanced cameras like in Fastrak in California where they take pictures of the license plates and just send the fee by mail, and if they don't pay for it, it can result on vehicle impoundment, license revocation/suspension, or jail time for more than 3 offenses. It can also help with the lack of personnel. Although it might be expensive to install it at first, but in the long run it will recoup the cost of the cameras and also make it easier for personnel to maintain. I've been watching Gadget for a long time and I agree with everyone at least that they should increase the violation fee to at least ₱10,000. ₱5,000 is not enough increase.

BMW drivers never use blinkers and always cut everyone in the traffic like they are racing in a game, drivers crossing the yellow solid lane going inside and out of a car pool lane, speeding going 60 in a 30-40 road.

There aren't enough personnel, which is why many violators get away. I don't know who the admin of MMDA is, but if each driver who violates gets a fine of 5000 pesos, how many 5000 pesos are lost because of the lack of personnel? Let's say each enforcer's salary is 800 pesos per day. Each enforcer can apprehend 5 to 10 violators per day. That's more than 20 times their salary or the salary of additional enforcers. It's super worth it. And the biggest benefit is that many drivers will improve their behavior. So why not hire more personnel and use the fines from violators to pay their salaries?
The problem is the 10 year validity of license. Di kinukumpiska ng MMDA yung lisensya, ticket lang. So kung kaka.renew lang nila eh after 10years pa nila pwede bayaran.

This is not a sustainable solution. The penalty should serve as a deterrent, not as a source of revenue. We lack discipline, which is deeply rooted in our culture as Filipinos, and this must change. We have only recently started enforcing rules, and now riders are having a hard time adjusting. 😅😅
If it's a traffic violation then it shouldn't be a deterrent cuz there are already signs and they just committed a violation. If it's a safety issue like motorcycles can't on a bridge then it should be a deterrents
i hope sometimes there would be HPG/LTO officers on motorbikes that would chase those who try to run. Then when they get caught, automatic revocation of driver's license. i witnessed something like this many years ago, along edsa, the perp even drove inside a popular mall to escape but the HPG were relentless and pursued the perp inside. i failed to see what happened next after that, i assume he/she got caught.

Why not pass a law that'll allow other motorists to submit their videos/ dashcam videos of buslane violators/ other traffic violations/ violators to LTO, MMDA or other Gov't organizations who can penalize violators and in turn get incentives or subsidies either thru fuel discounts or gov't fee transactions? This will significantly increase force multiplier effect for government, make kamotes on the road think twice about their behavior and road driving ethics and perhaps even minimize lagayan system as the profit goes to " deserving citizens ".

update penalty matrix. instead of flat 5k, make it 5k per wheel. if we can't stop them from entering the bus way, maybe we can stop them from using their vehicles by taking their gas money.
I have no idea why this is on my suggested list as i've never been to the phillipines.. but anyway the bikes don't cause any congestion so don't really see why they should get tickets tbh..
