I went Phucket last year, and I thought it was just going to be a place to chill by the beach with some cool nightlife, a nice break between Chang Mai and Bangkok, but I was surprised how pretty the island was. The Old Town was lovely and Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha were really cool.
One of the best travel video i have seen without too many filmy over exaggeration, overhyping dumb locations and praising all the places they go as a best and must try this is simple and great thank you for all the recommendations
wow, such an amazing video! Your cinematography/editing/creative skills are unbelievable! And I had no idea Phuket was so clean and modern looking. I did hear it's crowded and busy... Koh Samui must be one of those 'tranquil' places you mentioned. It was a lot more primitive.
One thing to avoid in Phuket is rent an e-foil hydrofoil. It's the latest scam here. The renter will invariably claim you damaged it and demand 60000+ baht in damages! Total scam.
Very impressive vlog, thank you all for your tips, suggestions, avoiding traffic, sunset, where to eat and stay.. so helpful... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH...
excellent and informative video. don't miss it new visitors to Phuket !! ..because you will get a very good , well-rounded view of Phuket rather than just visiting Patong Beach and Bangla Road , which are extremely commercialized and will not provide a complete picture . Of course the whole island is pretty much geared for tourists but this video certainly helps.
Sounds good, but I think to rent a jetski safari with us for exploring the small quiet islands of north east Phuket with an new seadoo jetski from 2023 is an amazing experience too
your video is exactly how a travel guide must be... me and family are going in february...do you suggest we stay in Phuket and Phiphi island or just Phuket as a headquartes? Thank you guys!!!!
Thanks!! Hmm I think you should try to stay in both if you can. Phi Phi Don is where you stay and explore Maya Bay from. It's still pretty far from Phuket, even though it's often offered as a day trip. We loved the vibe of Phi Phi Don as it's very tiny and has the most stunning scenery. :)
thanks! It's easy and cheap to rent a scooter (maybe 5$ per day), but just be very careful with the traffic on the road! And make sure to bring your international driving license if you have one... the police will ask for it if they stop you
Hi, thanks for the video! Would you mind sharing how much the fine was and what you were fined for? We're going to Phuket this week and renting a scooter for the first time!
around 30 USD - once you pay, they'll give you a ticket that allows you to drive for another 3 days without getting another fine (in case the police stops you). We didn't have an international driving license at that time. You're license also should allow you to drive a scooter. In many countries, a car driving license doesn't prove that. Just be very very careful in Phuket when driving. It was probably the most dangerous place we drove in Thailand and we saw quite some accidents.
Hi I have a question about the toilets in Phuket. Is there a separate or built-in washing hose (hand held bidet) inside (or beside ) the toilet bowl ?? Similar to what we see in Bali toilets
Love your videos! Short and informative. Btw, can you tell me about their drone policies? Not just Phuket, but Phi Phi and Krabi as well. Did you face any issues while flying drones?
Thanks for watching! It’s not allowed to fly the drone in any national park. The famous Maya bay at Phi Phi is for example not allowed. Phuket and Krabi allow to fly in most places, but definitely do some more research before going. Attractions where it’s not allowed usually will have a sign… like temples and religious / historical places
Very well made video 👌 I was in Thailand for 3 months in 2008, koh Leipe didn't even have roads or mopeds back then, and the viking resort on koh phi phi Don was just starting their amazing tree houses, looks so busy now, my wife and I are going back there in October next year, but we are staying in kamala beach up from karon beach, thanks for uploading such a great video guys 😁
@worldwideheart : quick question , how long were you in Phuket and then in Bangkok (basically want to understand how long did it take for you to cover the ppaces you showed in the video) I saw both of your videos and i am planning a trip to Bangkok and Phuket. Hence the question. And thank you for these wonderful videos. They are really helpful for the people planning their first trip ❤
Did you apply for the drone permit before flying it there? I’m planning to come to phuket this march but i heard application for permit takes so much time
Great vlog all around. I was in Phuket this last February and late March. I did you handle the sun and heat? I experienced heat sickness on and off. I got to go back though.
@@worldwildhearts I want to live there but I arrived to the fact I just can't handle the heat and will stay in San Diego Ca and visit in July, August, November, December and January. Thanks for your channel very informative.
So where do you guys stay for night resorts? And also how do you plan those just travel yourself on scooters or there is packages you can buy. Its hard to decide how to all figure it all out. Planing to visit with my wife but we always went to cancun so this one is different animal.
We usually book our hotels on the go. Booking has lots of options in Thailand. We sometimes rent a scooter to visit places, sometimes take a taxi around. The Grab App is very convenient, just like Uber and very cheap in Thailand. So it’s the easiest and safest way to get around. Be careful when renting a scooter, there are many accidents 🙃 there are also lots of tour agents in every town that can book a tour for you. Or some tours you can prebook online!
@@worldwildhearts just came back from thiland i would not ride personally a scooter in actual phuket way too crazy but we were on small island and it was great no traffic slow and yes i actually used bolt instead way cheaper than grab.

Hello de la suisse, bravo vous êtes le meilleur site avec des indications claires et une situation géographique 😀👍👍👍et merci pour la traduction en français 😊
Hmm that’s a bummer. The east side also works but you’ll need to rent a scooter to get to the other side. There are many hotels on the west side.. but not sure how it works with a membership
One week! But you can spend 3 days and just do a few things. Would highly recommend also visiting beyond Phuket as there are nicer beach destinations in Thailand & beautiful islands as well
I would take a look at the quieter areas of Phuket, like Kata Beach, Karon Beach, Kamala Beach, Nai Harn, ... There are many hotels in the area so it's best to check on a platform like booking.com to see whether they have all the facilities you need!

Phuket is one of my and my sister's favorite place of Thailand. I first visited Thailand in May 2018 for 2 weeks.

Thanks! Yes Koh Samui is more relaxed! Phuket might be the busiest of all islands we visited in Thailand. But it’s also the biggest
Phuket is amazing, you too :D
Thank you for making all these awesome videos

Nothing difficult about it.

Thank you so much so this video. I followed the same itinerary for my trip to Phuket.

Beautiful beach🏞
Very nice, can you visit all the islands on one day trip or on different days?
In one day you can cover 3-4 islands
Thank you
Some tours combine a few of the islands! Others you’ll need to do seperately
i am pretty much going to Phuket and Malaysia and Singapore 😉
Enjoy!!
im going to thailand in a month, thanks!
Hope you enjoy it!

Thailand’s internet is pretty great overall… very connected!

We spent about 5 days in each!
I hiked from Patong beach to Big Buddha. Google maps said it would be 2 hours which didn’t seem so bad, it was 4 and a half in the end 😅

Merci d'avoir regardé et des mots gentils!
do we really need a permit or license to fly a drone in phuket? please answer. thanks
Rules are constantly changing so best to research the current drone regulations online (like UAV Coach is a good website for that)
Do we need to book the tour guide in advance or just a day before?
You can book the day before usually!
@@worldwildhearts thanks a lot!
How many days do you need in phuket and Bangkok to have a pleasant well rounded trip?
Probably 3 days in Bangkok and 3-4 days in Phuket. Would add more time if you’re planning on doing day tours from both places
amazing
Thanks ☺️
Dear how did u cope up staying in town area, because i dont have option to stay in stay in west, my pre purchased hotel membership is at East side

Can we fly drones easily without permission... What was your experience
It's not allowed everywhere but you'll see the sign at each place... especially not in the national parks or historic sites
We have an one year old. Which hotels would you recommend that have all the amenities for mother and children? 5-star hotel is overkill.
