The "alt-right" activist said, "there's nothing that has made me feel more empowered in my life than supporting and being supported by a strong man".
Note that this is entirely symmetrical, she is supporting her partner, and her partner is supporting her.
Ana Kasparian responds to this saying "you feel empowered by letting a strong man take charge .. it is not my nature to sit back and have a man take care of me".
Just seconds after reading the woman's statement, which says something completely reasonable and not at all sexist, Kasparian invents a straw man and then talks down to this woman in a ridiculously patronizing way.
Glad that people are waking up to this hypocricy.

I don't think masculine and feminine are synonymous with strong and weak. I think it would be wrong to claim that a strong woman is being masculine, or a weak man is being feminine. Being strong or weak are conditions we all can experience, and that does not mean we are changing gender from one condition to another.

I don't consider myself alt right, I'm conservative, and I don't need a man to take care of me. I worked and took care of myself for many years. But now I am married to an amazing man, and we have two beautiful girls. He works his ass off to take good care of us and I love the fact I can stay home and take care of our girls. A mother is the most important job there is.

This is an interesting analysis. I have never been one to shy away from an argument and I am queen in my castle. There have been times during my soon to be 30 year marriage when I have been the nurturing, stay at home lady of the house. There have been other times when I have been the primary bread winner. I like the second one better. I've done both. I would never dream of telling somebody else how to live their live or how to find purpose. Yet some women think that since being X works for them then it should be right for everyone else. I have to agree with Anna. Do what makes you happy just make sure you don't try to force it down my throat.

I am NOT an alt right person, but what you ppl consider to be alt right now a days I don't actually know if that's what you all would consider me. But I do take care of my husband's precious eggs, our precious eggs. Our two beautiful baby girls, and he doesn't work hard? He spent 7 yrs in the Navy and is a master electrician who works 6 days a week with alot of o we time to take care of his family. I do not need my husband to take care of me but that is how we want to live our lives. He takes amazing care of his family and I take care of our children and things at home. Six months ago I had our second child, I had a horrible thing happen during my c-section and almost didn't make it. For a month and a week my husband cooked cleaned and took care of a 2 yr old and a newborn. While he was also emptying my catheter and helping me recover from surgeries. I support my husband and he does the same for me, we are each other's rocks to lean on and, I couldn't ask for more. You guys seem to be disgustingly ignorant to anyone who lives differently than you. Btw Ana no one told you that you should be living a life they choose to live so shut up with that crap like someone is forcing it on you. But, I have a strong feeling that in 10 to 15 yrs you just might be divorced, childless and even more sad than you are right now.

(I am Brazilian and Christian, making it clear first to make sure that I am being impartial) the use of the burqa is optional for Muslim women, as it is said in their sacred book, and it is a fact that many participants of this culture around the world respect that choice. It seems to be your viewpoint that treating the partnership of man and woman as a competition of who is stronger is natural. I disagree. I feel that the world and society is already hard enough as it is, and it is only by building a strong family unit together that we can live the best lives possible (which I believe is the actual goal of life, not money or power or strength)

What is a strong, empowered woman? A woman who has a job, work on them self, and is responsible... You know stuff that should be default things all people do. Meeting the base requirements does not make you empowered or special at all, and when people go around demanding appraisal for meeting base standards, they look like children.

I have no issue admitting that some feminist during the push for women to be in the work place stupidly shamed houses wives but that phases passed and feminist can run the gambit, because the whole point is about choice. But conservative/anti-feminist/pro-fascist women seem to want to force other women back into submissive roles, the most vocal among them breaking the rules they want to establish for other women, like having high paying jobs, being divorced, sex outside of marriage, being very outspoken. But I think there's a disconnect in their brains, I don't think they understand that if they get their way, everyone including themselves would have to live in the system they created, with no more say in changing it, and I doubt they would like it. I just realized I was describing Serena Joy from Handmaids Tale!!!
I'm just sitting here wondering when the second american civil war is going to break out. And no, I'm not talking about the riots or internet-flamewars, I'm talking real war, with higher ups in the military echelons picking sides. And don't tell me it is 100% impossible because as humans they have a choice (they aren't stupid, they see what's going on) and this is the first situation since the 1860s that's really hit that level of infection. I do believe that if governors of enough states (significant states in terms of military power) got their regional military commanders onboard with denying the president's legitimacy, we could end up with another national split. With judges invalidating presidential executive orders, its not really that unthinkable. How ironic would it be that the cause is the same as it was 150 years ago... the debate over racism. Kind of proves that society really hasn't progressed that much.
Since the white nationalist, white supremacist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, neo-Nazis are making things worse for white males, any females in the Alt-Right might help their gender.
I agree with Anna, just because I choose to be submissive to my husband doesn't mean that I believe that's how all women are. My spouse had to prove to me that I could rely on him with all things.
