    I would have made one hex element then patterned it. I completely forgot about the grill command! great work!

    Hello, I follow all steps exactly as you do but when I confirm grill an error message appears saying "can't cut or intersect through empty part". Could you please help?

      If you do it exactly as I did . it will work. Obviously you missed something. I would assume the direction of your rib is wrong, because the error message states an empty part.

    Hello WW once again take off my hat to Bravo. Thanks.

    Two things:
    1.: You can speed up the process of the selection of the hexagons by dissabeling instand preview.
    2.: wouldnt it be easier to use the sweep function on the hexagon grid? Also, this could give a faster and more versatile (re)shaping of the grill profile.

      1. Yes. of course. 2. This was a video about the use of the grid tool. Apart from that how do you want to use a sweep in this scenario???

    Hallo, ich habe eine Frage. Wie kann man auf einer 3D skizze Bohrung machen ? ich habe von der Ebene die Mittelpunkte auf die Oberfläche projeziert , aber die Bohrung erkennt die Punkte nicht .

    • @wolfgang.walden.cad.training
      @wolfgang.walden.cad.training  Рік тому +1

      Die 3D Skizzenpunkte funktionieren mit der Bohrung nicht. Du musst auf jeden 3D Skizzenpunkt einen Arbeitspunkt legen. Mit einem Arbeitspunkt und einer Richtung funktioniert die Bohrung.

    Thanks for the video! It helped so much.
    Do you know if I can make the pattern elements independet after sketching them? So I can change all sizes at ones for different objects and delete not necessary ones afterward?

    • @wolfgang.walden.cad.training
      @wolfgang.walden.cad.training  2 роки тому +1

      You can´t "explode" a feature pattern, but a body/solid pattern would work. Regarding the pattern in the sketch, I will have to check myself, because I use patterns in the sketches only if there is no alternative and therefore rarely.

      @@wolfgang.walden.cad.training okay I understand, thank you. How can I explode one solid pattern in ipt file. Do you know if this is possible?

    what is the difference if we want to make it in cylinder shape?

    • @wolfgang.walden.cad.training
      @wolfgang.walden.cad.training  2 роки тому

      Isn´t that obvious? For a cylinder you have to bent it around one axis, this one here is bend in 2 different (perpendicular) directions.
