Could you please do a review on the new c300, I’m eagerly waiting for it cause the way you reviewed the c300d was absolutely amazing. Hoping to see a review on it😀😀
Thinking about X1, but getting inclined to C220d but then worried about the ground clearance. I heard Mercedes is increasing the GC of C Class. I also heard that C300D will be discontinued with C300 replacing it in later half of 2024. Any idea?
@@MotorScribes C300D with a good GC would have been nice. Never the less C220D with a GC of close to 180 mm (I think it is around 164 mm currently) will be a game changer as it will not bottom out on humps and I think it will be like a dream to drive on Indian roads. Sedans are class apart. Well lets see what the Merc people have planned. Cheers mate.
@@itiskiransandeepkrishnaYou're absolutely correct but it's difficult to understand how the people at Mercedes India look at things. They increased the gc for GLC specifically for Indian market but did nothing for the C300d (which in fact has lower gc than c200 or c220d). God knows who comes up with these decisions !! Imagine increasing gc for an SUV and ignoring the sedan 😂.
@@zackryan268 Yep. The only way to go about achieving performance and practicality would be to bring in height adjustable suspension in both sedans and SUVs. But no, they keep increasing the height for SUVs without any rationale and have very low gc for sedans. The SUVs neither fall into the category of hardcore 4x4s nor the sedans fall into the category of super sports cars.
The A6 is a bigger car and you do get a little more space as compared to the C Class. However if it is going to be a car that you will drive and not a driver, you would be very happy with a C300d!
Our personal take is that it is much better than an Audi A4! While the A4 is a fun car too, there is just something about a Mercedes Benz that feels better. Space is pretty much at par, however the elegance of the C-Class is unmatched in our opinion.
The C-Class does sit a little low, but our drive proved that it can traverse over our bad roads without scraping. Some places we had to be quite careful, but managed. Yes, a big speed breaker would be a problem, but then again, it would be a problem for any sedan…not just the C
Now that this is discontinued…go for the M340i. A friend picked one up and he is SOLD on the fact that it is one of the best performance sedans you can get your hands on in India.
Good question! The M is more of a driver’s car and built for that engaging drive experience. The C gives you that typical Mercedes feel and is a very decent sedan. Yes GC is a question but it is manageable…we drove it through Munnar without bottoming out!
How is the brake feel?? Because I heard people saying that the brakes are not that promising!!??
Brakes are spot on! No trouble there at all!

I know that the 300D will be replaced by the petrol 300. GC…no information just yet, but the C would benefit from an increase…

Is it shorter than E class or same in length? Does it offers massage seats?
It’s shorter than an E Class. Massage seats can be added as an option extra on most luxury cars.
I have canceled the c300 d for the audi a6 .. did i make the right move or should i stick with the c300 d

What is the name of this paint shade? Doesn't appear to be entirely black!
It is actually a very dark blue. Looks stunning on the C- class!
@@MotorScribes IIRC, C300d was introduced only with white and black paint shades. They've introduced this shade in MY2023 variant?
@@gentlethrottle It’s been there since they launched the new C-Class.
Does c300d comes in silver color?
Good question! The manufacturer offers the C300d in Black, White and Blue. The 220d and 200 however come in Mojave Silver and High-Tech Silver.
Sir this beauty is Discontinued🥹
No, C-Class is still available. You can easily check online with Mercedes and confirm as well:)

They have steering issues and sadly the car is extremely boring to look at and drive
Looks are subjective, but to drive…this car is an absolute blast! Nothing boring about it at all!
Seems like you haven't driven it!!
