it is totally nonsense to compare Monster and Asur, both the shows are amazing in their own aspect. The plot may look same, but there are tons of differences between the two. Monster does not use any mythology, but use psychology as their main weapon, while Asur combined the both and serves us a completely different story. Hats off to the directors of the show

Yeah bro Monster is an epic character drama be it Tenma or Johan it focuses more on characters and their regrets and psychology with a good adventurous story...while Asur is a Brilliantly unpredictable written plot or story with good characters except Shubh Joshi who is possibly after season 2 one of the greatest villians ever produced from Indian cinema...people are even comparing it with Hannibal completely misses the point

    Positives-
    Story
    Casting (specially visesh Bansal)
    BGM
    Twists
    Screenplay & acting
    Mythology meets science
    Negatives -
Too much technical mumbo jumbo which is exhaustic beyond a certain point
Casting of Abhishek Chauhan (adult shubh)
A few plotholes like how the hell naina is so overpowered to do all the technical works (may be work of 10 people)? If the makers showed a team of 4-5 people doing the technical works under naina's lead it would be much more believable.
Why the university preserved the burnt lab for 15 years like it was some sort of museum?
Overall the best Indian series I have watched, even better than some Hollywood works. A must watch❤ season 3 on it's way 🔥

I'm not sure it's the best Indian series, immediately thinking about it, series like PATAAL LOK, PANCHAYAT, KOTA FACTORY, SACRED GAMES, A FAMILY MAN are definitely better as compared to this one, this was way too much plot conveniences and inconsistencies in writing if you really think about this show, still a good watch 7/10

Some shows and movies are extremely overhyped by Indian audiences and I always get disappointed and regret later after watching them and realise that most Indians have limited access to good entertainment and hence whatever is served, they eat it up and praise it.
But, I must say that the hype around Asur was totally justified. I had heard so much good about the show that I had to install the Voot application just to watch this show. I was just happy to see that the show didn’t treat the audiences as dumb. The story was rooted in our religion, something I always feel needs to be explored by the writers. The way they have woven it into this crime thriller is amazing. Even if it allegedly took inspiration from a Japanese manga/anime, it still holds it’s own charm. I am definitely going to watch Asur 2 👍

I believe there may be some confusion regarding the concept. The absence of Kalki avatar in the story is due to Shubh's upbringing in an abusive household, where their father was abusive and their grandfather was a devout believer. This environment exposed Shubh to sacred scriptures and they delved deeply into the profound teachings of the Upanishads, shaping their character. Being exceptionally intelligent, Shubh assimilated this knowledge and developed a unique perspective on society, becoming fixated on the idea of defeating Kalki.

I swear if Indian writers, scientists, mathematicians start taking our ancients texts seriously and do a deep research on them, they will find a gold mine of information.
But sadly now it's considered as 'cringy' and 'outdated' and the present generation is the worst when it comes to even discuss these ideas becoz they all consider these texts as the ramblings of sages who knew nothing.🤦‍♂️
This also happens becoz everything's getting westernised and they consider Americans as role models.
You should make a rant about this topic too.

To those who stubbornly take ancient texts literally, let's pause and have a gag. Trying to force mythical tales into a historical mold is like watching someone wrestle with a square peg and a round hole. Instead, let's embrace the enchanting stories and whimsical charm they offer, leaving behind the misguided pursuit of rigid historical accuracy. It's a path that leads to joy and entertainment, my friends and asur is a top class show

very true, although the wisdom and superiority of our ancient texts are unmatched but mostly the sayings have less of a base and are more of statements, they understood and accepted the truths of the universe but answer to the core questions cannot be found, majority are just praises of devs and TBH a lot of the verses are misquoted , wrongfully translated, and blasted out of proportions, i mean AI ? ..................... Shan should go more into how this show is about Hinduism? It’s just a name change of monster. It is an adaptation and the best parts are taken from monster and given a makeover by sankritizing it. There is no serious merit in saying this show is about Hinduism. Unless Hinduism is about digesting original stories from other cultures and telling them in Hindi/Sanskrit language.

Monster and Asur both are outstanding and Amazing Story. Even if Asur is inspired by Monster it's a huge achievement to make such a Fine Product.
I have Read Monster and seen Asur as well , they do give a similar vibe but Both are Absolutely brilliant piece of Literature.

to be honest what is fascinating about this show is the philosophical touch given to it that finds its source in Hinduism and then correlating it with science which isn't that difficult since Hinduism itself is based on science.

4 years ago when i was in class 10th I used to think hindu mythology is very simple and bouring like without any sence and all .
But once I started going deep into it and leaned about it i was shocked . The thing is even our elders don't know most of the things .
Most people just know about ramayan and Mahabharata which itself contains hundreds and hundreds of mini stories tales with diffrent conclusions .but other than these there is too much which most people don't even look .
I think all this should be systematically arranged and taught to not just students but to every one possible .
Problem is all the things are soo much scattered. Diffrent versions ,diffrent books , diffrent names languages it need to be systematically arranged .
If anyone know about some websites where all of this can be found in one place please tell and if there is none i will try to make it .
    🙂🙏

in the 8th episode of asur, it is said that all these things are mythology and kalki and kali does not exist in reality, the language and the way the heroes or the good people uses for ancient belifes. And the thing is they are talking about the text and scriptures in web series. But the birth of kali and the incarnation of kalki avatar is already mentioned in our texts. the once who knows our hinduism and culture for them the web series is not so interesting or too good, but for people who doesnt have the knowledge dont know our roots it is a masterpiece. also a fake kalki avatar is created in the movie which shown as people worshipping it, till there it was okay but then they show he is being worshipped as god and they are doing his pooja at the time of ganga aarti. that's such a shit a whole lot of mis information and telling that the people who worship hindu gods are dumb. they used our text and still showed us on the wrong side. In the end i would like to say that asur could be a propaganda of the anti hindu bollywood. but dumb people such as this youtuber would never understand it

I disagree shan bhai school scientific temperament, analytical skills develop krne ka jagah hota hai naa ki hindu, muslim, christan, sikh, bodh ke dharm granth padhne ki jagah hoti hai. Uske liye hamre great temples, masjids aur related text hote hain. Isliye yeh mat bolo ki hame nai padhaya gaya kuki vo jagah(school) religious chizo ka prachar prasad ke liye nai bani hai.
