I agree with the previous posts. Saturday Night Stitch is the truth. Her sewing is impeccable. Don’t sleep on Hila. She is so entertaining, and she takes you through detailed elements of her sewing.
Be sure and watch Evelyn Wood. Her intro is totally awesome, for starters! She's an Aussie, and I love her emphasis on remaking thrifted items, and she has an online sewing school. I love her channel!
Oh my gosh! Thank you for the shoutout!! I also got a boost from Lisa a couple years ago and love to mention smaller channels as I find them. I’ve gotten some new names from this video as well. Thanks Whitney!😄❌⭕️
I enjoy listening to both these channels. Dahlia Society is great because it’s in my area of the world. Discovered a lot of independent patterns as a result
Thanks for sharing :) i watch some of these and will add some more to my list! I also love watching Andrea from Beyond the Pink Door, Lizzie B, and Alex Judge Sews :) Devon Thread Tales and Button and Pip from your community are both delightful to watch too!
Oh my goodness, so many people to check out! I'm grateful to have so many in my subscription feed already and I totally agree - they are wonderful. I've learned so much from so many of these seamstresses (and you too!). Lots of people have commented below about Kristen from The Dahlia Sewciety, and a few have mentioned Suzanne from Sew Custom, Evelyn Wood and Alex Judge. I also really like Emily from SoCal Sewcialist. I'm off to find even more from your list. I always appreciate these sorts of videos because they always have new people I haven't yet discovered. Thanks so much for this! ❤️
Sew Custom - this channel is by an Irish lady called Suzanne. She uses her own sewing blocks and shows you how to alter them for different styles. Tons of ideas on her vlogs
You should check out Saturday Night Stitch. Impeccable sewing and dresses to die for. She does a lot of Burda Style magazine and other sewing magazine pattern projects.
Beyond the Pink Door, Andrea is from Ireland and has been sewing for 40 years. She makes Irish dance dresses, but due to the Pandemic, no one is dancing at this time. She has makes videos and tutorials, and recently opened a fabric shop! She is so soothing to listen to; check her out.
I enjoy watching your channel, thank you for sharing. 😊 “Beyond the pink door” also has a wonderful fabric shop and the “Sewing bunny” with Bentley and misty 😀🇨🇦
My favorite for fitting videos is Alexandra Morgan. Her tutorials are very clear and organized. Fitting is my biggest struggle and her channel has been a big help. My favorite channel for sewing techniques is yours! I love your tutorials and sew alongs! I have learned so much. Thanks!
Hi Whitney, I’m a little late in suggesting two sewers who I enjoy watching on UA-cam and thought you might just enjoy them too. Juliet Uzor from Sewsonatural, she won The Great British Sewing Bee, I think it was 2019. She is a mother and a school teacher and it very talented. Angela from Devon Thread Tales, she is a mum too and has three teenage daughters. I don’t think she has been sewing for very long but she makes a great job of her garments. Thank you for your vlogs I really enjoy them. I have got back into doing a bit of dressmaking after about twenty years thanks to COVID. I’m finding it a bit challenging at times but on the whole I’m enjoying it so much. Wishing you and your family many blessings throughout 2021.
I’m so excited to find your channel, Jen’s Sewing room mentioned it on her latest video. It’s going to be fun to check out these channels, thank your so much for sharing! I also joined the facebook group and I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone there too! So fun!! Hugs, Stephanie 😊
I love Kristen from 'The Dahlia-sewciety'. She is Australian and has a great way of inspiring us to try new fabrics and patterns. Well worth subscribing to.
Recently discovered a number of sewers from India and Pakistan (some are not in English) but fascinating to watch them draw a pattern directly on fabric and then sew it up. If you have some sewing experience, it is possible to pick up dimensions that help you draw patterns like they do. Learned new ways to finish seams and bind necklines and openings. Also, some wonderful bead embellishment youtubers (also from India, Pakistan). Just type in a tag like designing your own pattern, making kurtis, salwar kameez. Also, love the historical costume makers like Angela Clayton. Some of it is just dreaming I'd like to make these different items, but it is always nice to see how women across the world sew.
Thank you for your list of UA-cam sewing channels Some I have been watching some I am definitely going to check out One I will mention is Beyond the pink door She is a beautiful seamstress she has in the past done custom sewing for a living Then with the pandemic she had to find a new job so she has started selling fabric Beautiful fabrics and does a live stream on sundays to look at fabric in her store and makes suggestions on what to sew with certain fabrics but the biggest thing with her is she sews for her daughter and right away I thought about you so Check her out I know a few sewers from the USA have ordered fabric and have been really pleased how quickly it arrives and the quality So that's my tip on UA-cam videos for you Enjoy this week
Thanks for this list - I’ll definitely try some of them. I also like watching Sam who goes by Frugalisama - she has very good tips for sewing on a budget
Happy new year to you and your family, I have a small you tube channel at sewing in the doll corner it's all about sewing for dolls and other things you might like to check it out
Great list thank you for putting it together! I’ve found loads more now to add to our viewing 🤗it’s so hard to find all the sewing channels on UA-cam, a lot of searching is needed sometimes, we were also lucky enough to get a shout out from the lovely Lisa, it’s a fab thing to do 😍
Hello Whitney. I do subscribe to a lot of these channels that you have linked to your vlog. One channel that I love and it doesn't have so much sewing in it but I love it nonetheless and I am sure some of your subscribers would too and the channel is Michou Makes. Micheline is great, and I love her natter as she talks about the fabrics she has bought and what she has made with them. One video she had nearly had me on the floor laughing it was just so funny and Micheline was great company when I lived in my previous home as I was quiet isolated. Evelyn Wood has a great channel that you will just LOVE, especially as you are so interested in thrifting, you should see the garments she buys and what she turns them into. A new channel you may also like to see is Judi running sew_n_sew, Judi is only new to UA-cam and if you watch Stitched Up you would have seen Judi as she and Rachel are good friends. Stay safe and well and love to Gidget
Morning Whitney, I follow the majority of vlogs you mentioned. Michelle from Sewing Bunny, Claire from Penguin and Pear., Applelover 53 but Ashley is mainly doing tutorials for the brother Scan N Cut, and Stalk My Closet I am fascinated with the way Ruby draws her measurements onto the fabric, cuts and sews. I’m sure I’ve missed more but with your list and your subscribers list we will not be bored during lockdown. Stay safe and Happy New Year. Val ❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧🥳🎉
Wow wee, thank you so so much for listing my channel, that's so kind of you. Also, thank you for this video, definately a few names I need to go and explore. Great idea, thank you 😊❤️💕
Did you mention Saturday night stitch? Love hila. Her vlogmas this year was precious. Missing gabbydashery ; I suspect she’s pretty busy these days with her sweet new baby. Yes dahlia sewciety
Joy was the one who led me to you. I found her by accident looking at how tos for folding fabric to store. This was at the beginning of my vloggers discovery. But you hooked me with your content and personality. I did go back and binge watch from the beginning. Did that with Joy and Viv too. 😊 Thanks for this list. Some I follow, but some are new. Reading the comments, there are many I follow and love too that you didn't mention. But like you said, room in the description box! Sewing Bunny, Beyond the Pink Door, Alex Judge, Today in Jen's Sewing Room, Whit Makes, So Sew Mad, The Dahlia Sew_ciety, Devon Thread Tales, Frugalisima, Sew Essentials and Michou Makes are all on my subscription list. There are some mentioned that aren't and oh boy, is this going to be fun!
Evelyn Wood is one of my favorite sewing channels. She is Australian and into vintage garment sewing. She looks like a vintage doll. Anyway she has many videos on sewing tips and thrift remakes. She is simply fab!
Hey Whitney...thanks lady for the shoutout😘😘. You are right there's so many awesome channels. My 'watch later' list is a mile long🤣🤣but I try my best to catch up in my down time.
@@TomKatStitchery BTW, you're right Dominique is a news anchor here where I live. I watch her news segments and her channel is ABSOLUTELY amazing in the beauty/styling community. Love her!
I love how supportive and encouraging this community can be. I’ve mentioned you a couple of times on my channel as your videos are an invaluable resource. Thank you for sharing this summary and highlighting some new to me folks.
Love your blogs. You must check out the dahlia sew_ciety. Her name is Kristen and she is so lovely and has an amazing garden she films in. She lives in Melbourne Australia. It's a must see.
The DailyConnoisseur and Audrey Coyne are my favorite style you tubers. Kittenish Behavior, Anita by Design has become my favorite sewists. You tube has changed my life.
Thank you so much for including my little (lately neglected by me) channel 💞. So many good recommendations there. I know what I'll be doing this weekend 😉
Thanks for sharing! There are so many channels I love and have learned from. Some of my favorites I highly recommend are MadebyCathCraft, The Baker That Sews, Voice of a Creative, Sewing on the Tyne, Sewing Bunny, Notes from the Sewing Room, Sewing Report, Tilly and the Buttons, Today in Jen’s Sewing Room and Professor Pincushion.
Atelier Saison, the Japanese Sewing Factory. You are looking over the shoulder of a professional seamstress as she sews and presses. No talking, just annoyingly repetitive music. I have picked up many tips and tricks for precision sewing and pressing. Being totally visual, it requires that you sit and watch with 100% of your attention, but it’s worth the time. It’s better than taking a class.
I appreciate this list so much. I’ve been searching for channels for style and sewing, and this helps immensely. The purple you are wearing today looks GREAT on you.
Oh you should watch Suzanne at Sew Custom, she’s amazing. I actually have most of your list on my list but I watch you, sew custom, Joy, Vivmom, Lisa Kitsch, & Audrey Cohen. Most of the time. Right now you’re my No 1 gal.
I learned about your channel from joy. At first i thought it was outside machinery she was describing with your name. You opened up a whole new world for me.
Hi Whitney, thank you so much for adding me to your list...I loved hearing about other channels that I've not come across before, so will be checking those out. I hardly watch anything else other than sewing vlogs these days. I would recommend Sally from Secret Life of a Seamstress xx
Thank you so much for this list! I am familiar with many of them, can't wait to try all the others! There is a very talented young lady in California, SewCalSewcialite, MichouMakes from the UK, and The Quilting Marine. I have really enjoyed your channel these past few months, you are so talented and so precious!
There are many many sewing and crafting and thrifting, hand sewing techniques etc. 2 more that I wanted to add to your list and all the other channels people have mentioned in the comments: You Got Me In Stitches and Benden Size (no talking, just great camera work)
Yes! Kate Jackson is a gem. Just watching is a relaxing getaway from everyday life. I’ve been following her since she had a 2K subscribers and she’s quickly climbed up to to 30K. Another relaxing watch is Amanda Rolfe and Amanda Little from the Little Quilt House. Both Amanda’s are soft spoken and do mostly quilt crafts but include occasional dressmaking.
Thank you for introducing me to different channels. I have been searching for something specific and found this in you and then Anita by design :) Thank you so much for that . I do like others too, especially the ones that show you how to make clothes for children - I have grands - and ones that teach about different fabrics.... I am in the UK - Wales - and struggling to find decent fabric stores at the moment as I like to feel - it's a sensory thing lol and with Covid this is proving to be a tad difficult... Thank you once again,,, oh and did I say Thank you :) God bless you in your next journey and let the journey begin :)
Thanks so much for this list Whitney. I look forward to looking at the channels. I very highly recommend Kristen from Dahlia Sew-ciety. You will love her!
Hi. Thanks for all the new info. I also like sew over it. She does lots of sew alongs .And good things for beginners. You are an inspiration to me. Take care.x
I got the Sew Beautiful book for Christmas! Now I need to figure out what to make first! Joey Sewey is taking a break, I hope she gets back soon! If you haven’t checked out the Closet Historian you should, she’s pretty awesome!
I would like to mention Becky Thompson at Power Tools with Thread. She is primarily a quilting/machine embroidery channel, but she has in-depth tutorials on embroidery machines, software, machine appliques, and sew along projects. I know there are sewers out there who double dip with quilting and garment sewing (me!). She has a bubbly personality that is really fun, plus her husband makes beautiful seam rippers/stilettoes.
Thank you for this video, there's several vloggers that I didn't know. There's also Stephanie Canada with vintage sewing, Diane Diezel, Judith Dee, Juliette Uzor, Zoey Diy and Judi running_sew_n_sew For those who understand french, there's Sb Créations, Freundii Couture, Couture et Paillettes and Joannie L.
I nearly forgot, Sew Sew Live is a fantastic sew a long channel too, Saremy is excellent and something tells me that you will LOVE her sewing machine...
Thanks for this, great to find new channels. I recommend Abi's Den. She is so experienced and great tutorials. She is also a qualified engineer and sewing machine technician so makes videos showing how sewing machines/overlocker work and how to maintain them.
Thanks for this list, Whitney. Like others, I found your channel through Joy Bernhardt. I also love watching Debbie Shore, for more craft based items, and she has some fantastic themed books which are full of inspiration. Happy New Year to you and your family! Kind regards from Penny in Liverpool 🇬🇧😊💕
Thanks for sharing other channels you watch (and paying it forward), I'll be sure to check out the ones that are new to me. I have recently found Cotton Reel Studio a nice channel to follow from the UK.
wow - so many new vlogs to check out - thank you for this and a great time to binge watch whilst it is the holiday. love your vlogs too - thank you for again. x
I know a few of these. I also love JStern designs. She's great with fit. Is the sewing vloggers support group still active? I'd love to get connected with other sewists.
Whitney, I so enjoy your channel and you clearly put a lot of time and live into what you do. Do you have a video that shows what equipment you use, etc., to make videos? I apologize, I can’t figure out how to search through your inventory of videos. Thanks so much! 1~ Peggy
I’m one who came from Joy’s channel! I have really come to love your channel! Between you and Joy I have gotten so many ideas. :) and I found Joy’s channel via Glenda’s Sure Fit Designs.
@@TomKatStitchery I get a kick out of the fact that you are originally from Missouri, Joy is in Oklahoma, and I’m a Southwest Iowa farm girl splitting her time between Omaha and Minneapolis. My husband went to a military school in Lexington, MO, and he and I used to work for a mortgage company with their corporate office in OKC and he/we traveled there for work fairly often. We know Edmond where Joy had her second house. Now I work for a mortgage company in Minnesota. I guess one good thing that’s come from this COVID business is that it’s got me back into sewing. Something I haven’t done much of in the last 10 years.
Some new ones for me here! Thanks. Some additional ones for your list.... running_sew_n_sew; so sew mad; the Yorkshire sew girl; Lizzie B; Alex Judge Sews.... too many good ones - not enough time to sew!
Thanks for doing this 😀…I found some new ones to look at...Besides the ones mentioned in the comments below I really like the techniques of J Stern Designs
Yes, this channel is really great ! Irina Paukshe is the head of a house of Sewing (maison de couture) and on this channel, you can find reviews on her clients' clothes, tutorials based on her Ten-Measurement drafting course...
I watch most of who you've mentioned, but you should check out Cara on So Sew Mad! She's fun to watch and does allot of hacking as well. Evelyn Wood is great for getting back to basics and doing classic sewing techniques. I love how she takes thrifted items and makes them into 40's style clothing. Her thrift hauls are amazing!
Thanks for this list, I enjoy Claire from beautiful things head quarters ( BTHQ ) she is English has a studio shop etc crochet sand knits as well The Dalia sew society Kristen Australian . She often vlogs from her garden , she reviews patterns often directs her viewers to free patterns etc. I hope you find time to have a quick look at these channels and I hope you enjoy them like I do. Julie Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️
So many of these channels I enjoy. Do try Evelyn Wood ~~ she's such a joy to watch teaching us these little things that make sewing easier; shocks me what she picks up at thrift shops.
Crystal Sews and Stuff is lovely! She has a little bit of everything, totally adorable. She is super strong technically as well. I love Tomcat Stitchery, she’s one of the best seamstress’s I’ve ever known of. Oh! hey...Btw thanks for all you have taught me this year Whitney! I love most of these channels and watch them regularly-however you are a cut above make no mistake. Upper tier quality content. I hope I can pull it together to join you in 2021🙏🤞🙃I so appreciate the welcoming sentiments . Wishing you and your family a wonderful New Years celebration and again, thanks for all your hard work and fantastic content this year, you rocked it!!
Wow! What an extensive list! One of my favorites that you didn’t mention is Whitney from Whit Makes. She actually mentions you a lot on her channel and she makes great content. Thanks for this list!

Great tips! I watch most of them...no wonder it takes me so long to get my sewing projects done!
😂 it’s true. There are so many fabulous ones!
I know exactly what you mean
Sew Custom - this channel is by an Irish lady called Suzanne. She uses her own sewing blocks and shows you how to alter them for different styles. Tons of ideas on her vlogs
Suzanne is amazing!
Exquisite designs and sewing. Creative pattern design and altering your own individual pattern Takes you to new heights in sewing.
I love it! I’ll have a look!

So that's my tip on UA-cam videos for you
Enjoy this week

You tube has changed my life.
Isn’t it great?!!
Thank you so much for including my little (lately neglected by me) channel 💞.
So many good recommendations there. I know what I'll be doing this weekend 😉
My pleasure! So many good ones!
Great list! See also Alex Judge Sews, Dahlia Sew-ciety, Liz Sews, and Penguin & Pear!
I will! Thank you!
Thank you for the list! I also love crumpets, tea and sewing, manecoarse, myra lorraine, judith dee and it ´ s josie.🙌
Thank you! I’ll look at each of these!
Thank you! I cannot wait to check these out!
Great skill - I’ve learned a lot from them as well
LOVE that channel too!
That sounds delightful!
I appreciate this list so much. I’ve been searching for channels for style and sewing, and this helps immensely.
The purple you are wearing today looks GREAT on you.
I’m so glad this was helpful!
Oh you should watch Suzanne at Sew Custom, she’s amazing. I actually have most of your list on my list but I watch you, sew custom, Joy, Vivmom, Lisa Kitsch, & Audrey Cohen. Most of the time. Right now you’re my No 1 gal.
Aww! Thank you!!
I learned about your channel from joy. At first i thought it was outside machinery she was describing with your name. You opened up a whole new world for me.
I’m so glad!
I can't believe how many of these channels I watch. I will have to check out some listed I did not know about.
Oh good!
Hi Whitney, thank you so much for adding me to your list...I loved hearing about other channels that I've not come across before, so will be checking those out. I hardly watch anything else other than sewing vlogs these days. I would recommend Sally from Secret Life of a Seamstress xx
My pleasure and thank you for the recommendation!
Thank you so much for this list! I am familiar with many of them, can't wait to try all the others! There is a very talented young lady in California, SewCalSewcialite, MichouMakes from the UK, and The Quilting Marine. I have really enjoyed your channel these past few months, you are so talented and so precious!
What a sweet thing to say! Thank you! I’ll have a look at these channels!
Many thanks for including my channel Whitney! Hope you're all having a fabulous Christmas and a lovely break from work! Xx

Prima Dressmaker is an excellent seamstress with great sewing techniques, tips, and excellent sewing tutorials.
Thank you! I’ll have a look!
There are many many sewing and crafting and thrifting, hand sewing techniques etc. 2 more that I wanted to add to your list and all the other channels people have mentioned in the comments: You Got Me In Stitches and Benden Size (no talking, just great camera work)
@janice k
Thanku so much for mentioning me :)
I haven’t heard of Benden Size (but will totally check that out), but I love Anna as well!
The Last Homely House. Arne and Carlos. Sew Me Something. Do hope you enjoy.xx
I love it! I’ll have a look!
What a lovely comment to receive! Thank you! I’m so glad you found me!
Thanks so much for this list Whitney. I look forward to looking at the channels. I very highly recommend Kristen from Dahlia Sew-ciety. You will love her!

I’ll go have a look at the closet historian! I’m so glad you got the book!
You’re right! Becky does have a great channel!
Thank you so much! I’ll have a look at these!
Must second Diane Diezel for pattern drafting.
I nearly forgot, Sew Sew Live is a fantastic sew a long channel too, Saremy is excellent and something tells me that you will LOVE her sewing machine...
Ooh! Thank you!
Thanks for this, great to find new channels. I recommend Abi's Den. She is so experienced and great tutorials. She is also a qualified engineer and sewing machine technician so makes videos showing how sewing machines/overlocker work and how to maintain them.
Ooh! That sounds amazing! I’ll have a look!
Thanks for this list, Whitney. Like others, I found your channel through Joy Bernhardt. I also love watching Debbie Shore, for more craft based items, and she has some fantastic themed books which are full of inspiration. Happy New Year to you and your family! Whitney, I so enjoy your channel and you clearly put a lot of time and live into what you do. Do you have a video that shows what equipment you use, etc., to make videos? I apologize, I can’t figure out how to search through your inventory of videos. Thanks so much! 1~ Peggy
I don’t have a video that covers the video making side. However, if that’s something you guys would like to see, I can definitely do one!
I’m one who came from Joy’s channel! I have really come to love your channel! Between you and Joy I have gotten so many ideas. :) and I found Joy’s channel via Glenda’s Sure Fit Designs.
I’m so glad she said something!
Thank you! I’ll have a look!

Ooh! Thank you!
I’ll have a look at both! Thank you!
